I'm not sure that Meghan really counts as a "Social climber" since slthough she got all the outward accoutrments that any social climber could hope for, she is so disliked and shunned that I'm not sure her climb is more remarkable than her fall which immediately followed the climb.

There isn't a house in Britain to which Markle would be invited on her own for a party. Harry is the only one with any clout left, just as it was before she married him.

And as for Hollywood? She had a moment with some A-listers, but they all seem to have backed away from her very noticibly now - Amal is nowhere to be seen and Serena Williams even vocally distanced herself from Markle on a video interview with Naomi Campbell the other day. Oprah will probably stick with them for Harry's documentary project, but not so much for Meghan. I think everyone is really expecting them to divorce and want to end up on Harry's side when they do. Even Elton will cut Meghan faster than a chainsaw when they announce the divorce, although I'm sure Uncle Elton is sweet as pie to her now.

How does OP mean by "favorite"? There's two on that list that I dislike but the others I don't even think of as social climbers, just women who were married to a famous man for a while.

To be a social climber you have to wind up surrounded by something that resembles human society. So that lets Melania out. To be fair, I don't think that was ever her purpose. She was a gold-digger, not a social climber. In fact the Trumps have never been social climbers in the accepted sense of the term. They're vulgarian outsiders with no friends.

The only person on the OP's list other than Markle who fits the bill to my mind is Bianca Jagger, who gained some foothold with Cafe Society (albeit of a rather louche sort).

Jerry Hall was a socialite. Priscilla Presley was a child bride. Yoko Ono was from an aristocratic family. Her parents were enraged that she married someone they thought of as an uneducated British loser.

There isn't any party, or any area of society, anywhere in the world, to which Jerry Hall wouldn't be welcomed now that she's combined all her lifetime of connections with her marriage to multi-Billionaire Murdoch.
