Actually, there have been more and more threads in the last while that i tap out of - threads that are the opposite of uplifting. I don't try to tell anyone what to post. But I do find some threads and posting styles depressing.

It can be toxic, but it's like any other lightly/non moderated forum. You have to pick and choose where you dive in. Sadly, things will only get worse as the US election approaches.

I like to engage in dialog, read and share opinions, and learn a thing or two. It is my online gay community. I even welcome contrary opinions IF the poster isn't an asshole about it. When they are, I ignore and keep it moving. You can't get into the mud people who want a fight, just not worth it! I love DL. Been here since 1998.

You can curate your DL experience any way you like it. Set comments and posters on ignore, set your flames & freaks setting to delicate flower in the settings tab. Only display threads from your Thread Watcher. Those are three options that can drastically change your DL experience.

Muriel has given us plenty of options to avoid the trolls and haters.
