I don't know why his books seem to be popular on the exclusive private school curriculum set. I used to read the Yale newspaper editorials (not an alumni, just a wannabe) and for a while it seemed like every 10th student written editorial referenced Horatio Alger, especially when talking about America.

I never learned about this pedo in my school, and I am glad not to have. I wonder if the academic set still plays Michael Jackson music or encourages the reading of material written by a pedophile.
