In the 50 years since its release, “Spirit in the Sky” has never really gone away. The song has appeared in more than 30 commercials and 60 films, including Wayne’s World 2, Apollo 13, Remember the Titans, and I, Tonya.

Damn, I remember Spirit in the Sky, 1970. It was a very addicting tune once it got into your head. It was a monster hit.
It's played frequently at funerals.
