She was pushed into business by an ambitious stage mother and had a nervous breakdown before she was ten. Since then, breakthrough success was always within her grasp, but she kept stepping away from the limelight. Abusive marriages and depression also held her back.

She was a revelation in Pretty Poison to me. That performance is so alive and unpredictable! I wish she had done more.
