The president puts on a fucking face mask, gloves and heads out to a nursing home or a fire house or even a local CVS and thanks the front line workers for their service. He uses this opportunity to remind the citizens of this country and the citizens of the world that that we have challenging times ahead but will endure. A real president may even admit his response time to counter this health crisis was lacking but we will get through this and be ready for the next time this type of health crisis shows up. I am noticing his supporters are slowly walking back from his shit show. After years of mindlessly supporting this admin, now they're saying they aren't republican or democrats. Whatever.

Trump should be cruising to reelection on this and, instead, current appearances are that he is basically talking himself out of a job.

NY state does not OWN the nursing homes. The nursing homes are private companies who are responsible for the health of their clients/residents. They get PAID to do that job.

NY state DOES REGULATE the nursing homes. One of the regulations is if the nursing home can't handle a sick resident, they need to make arrangements for that resident to be transferred to a safer place. I suspect the homes aren't doing that because they'll lose revenue if sick people are sent somewhere else.

Elderly + Underlying Conditions + Confined Place + Negligent Care Homes = DEATH.
