I did my drive through COVID test today
It was actually the easiest thing in the world. I set up an appointment online, booked a time.
I made sure not to eat or drink anything 20 minutes before the test.
Once I showed up to the designated testing spot, I had to pull through a short line of cars separated by cones. With the driver window up, I showed my appointment number and Driver's License.
All I had to do with the test was swab both sides of my cheek and the roof of my mouth for ten seconds and then put the swab in a little container of solution, put that in a ziploc and then dump in a dumpster. Results in five days and it took less than ten minutes.
There were tons of young hot looking male nurses or whatever they were. The male nurse who gave me my testing kit and instructions looked fine. At least with his mask on. I wanted to flirt some more but I guess that wouldn't be an appropriate setting?

Did one of the fine nurses swab your asshole with his cock?

Did you just sign up, or did you have symptoms?
by Anonymous | reply 2 | April 23, 2020 9:03 PM

Slight symptoms including dry cough, a fever. I think maybe slight chest pain but I'm also a bit of hypochondriac and I think either way this will give peace of mind

Grandma always said "Don't cruise at the doctor's office." I think she'd add "COVID-19 testing site" to that list.

I never see any hot guy nurses where I live, its a shame.

OP, where are you? I’d love to get a test!
by Anonymous | reply 7 | April 23, 2020 9:16 PM

I wonder why not that painful nasal swab, OP. Is what you had newer and more imoroved? Because I wouldn't mind that one before my scheduled May colonoscopy.

Can I have your stuff, OP?

You should have presented hole.

I did a walk up test Wednesday; it was the painful nose swab. My son tested last week and he got the cheek swab like the OP.

OP had the buttcheek swab

Total b/s. The nurses would have been covered up in their hazmat suits: you can't tell if a person is hot.

I thought you needed a prescription to get the test. Can anyone get one? Also, someone told me she gets tested every two weeks at her doctor's office (she has a chronic illness). And it's a cheek swab that gives a result in 15 mins.
Are tests becoming more available to anyone who wants one? I got a text from RiteAid telling me I could schedule a test, but I assumed it was a scam.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | April 23, 2020 11:34 PM

It may have been a scam, esp if your credit card details were required R15.

No prescription, R15. It was pretty easy to set up an appointment if you've had COVID or flu symptoms

Are both tests equally accurate?
by Anonymous | reply 18 | April 24, 2020 12:59 AM

I had the nose swab test, r18, and the first came back negative.
This particular test, at least, has a 30% rate of false negatives. My smart doc didn’t believe the results and sent me back.
Sure enough, positive.
30% false negative results are a lot. More people need to know not to necessarily trust the first test.
And find out the what’s the rate for false negatives with any test you’re given.

Asians, Mexicans and other Catholics are uncut and there’s a lot more of them out west.
So, yes.

I think Miss R22 got lost on her way to the drive-thru Men Presenting Uncut Cocks thread and ended up getting tested for COVID.

Good gravy, that post must’ve been destined for the “are Californians uncut?” thread that I just scrolled by.
But the OP is in Santa Clarita, so hey!

I got my test results back in email. NEG. Just in case anybody is curious how they report back negative results, it's what they sent below. If positive, they give you a phone call.
"This result is for appointment: XXXXXXXX.
Thank you for coming to one of our Los Angeles City-County COVID-19 testing centers. Your COVID-19 test was NEGATIVE. This means that the coronavirus was NOT found in your test. We do want to inform you that just like all tests, the COVID-19 test does have limits. Please if you are feeling cold or flu symptoms, it's very important that you stay away from others. Please stay at home as much as you can. Call your doctor and share your test results with them. We ask for you to follow the same instructions as patients who have COVID-19."

Well I'm glad there is free available testing available somewhere in this country.

Too bad the tests are only 20% accurate

Congratulations, OP CannonDrill! i hope that gives you some peace of mind.
I’ve had a dry cough since about March 25, and that seems to be too long to be COVID, but I finally decided to tell my doc, and he authorized the test. I took the test today, and I think it was free. I’ve lived in my home for 25 years and have never had a cough like this. So, I doubt it’s allergies. It could be Asthma, which I have had for years, but this cough is still new. I suppose if have COVID, my symptoms are so mild that I can beat it. If it’s not COVID, I’ll have to ask my doc if I should worry about it being anything else of concern.

Stress. Mental factors can produce many physical symptoms, including cough. Psychogenic coughing increases at times of stress and disappears during sleep.

Thanks, R31.
I tend to get the cough more in the morning and evening. And any kind of fine particulate sets it off, too, like a freshly cut lawn, or dirt when I repotted my plants, that know of thing.
In any event, I get the results on Wednesday or a Thursday.

I'll be interested to see if my month long case of sniffles was hayfever or the china virus.

Why do I see shots of people getting foot long swabs shoved up their nose?
by Anonymous | reply 35 | May 6, 2020 7:16 AM

Op Your lucky. In Australia they shove the swab up the nose and I believe its very uncomfortable. Pet cats that are tested to be be sedated first.

R25, thanks for posting that.
Just did my drive up COVID test in the 'West Valley'on Monday (on Canoga Ave. in the Woodland Hills area),
Took about an hour for the waiting time and then the actual test took about 2-3 minutes. Of course, the video we watched of the demo with the test kit was not the same kit that I received, but I just followed the instructions with this particular kit and all should be fine.
Glad I did this earlier in the week as the temperatures are rising in the city.

R32 Pierre, did you get your results back?
Same question for R37
