TV Junkie - Rick Kirkham from "Tiger King"

Charts the rise and fall of Kirkham as he battles a crack addiction while being a reporter for Inside Edition in the early to mid-90s. I thought he was just some old guy trying to fleece Joe Exotic "I own you." And then Joe burned up all his footage. He was a hottie back in the 90s.

“Hottie”? No.

He just came across as yet another grifter and scammer just like everyone else. Almost worse, because with his education and background, he acted like he was better than everyone else.

The documentary really drew me in. Watched the whole thing. It was good. He's a loser with anchorman hair and a smooth tone to his voice who never blames himself as he descends from traveling the world to struggling to hold on to a local news program in a tiny Texas town.

He has been ugly since the day he was born.

Reminds me a lot of a crack addict friend of mine. Goodlooking when he was younger, smooth, bi-curious, and when he hit bottom, he started to dig, instead of saving himself. Lost everything just like Kirkham.

At least he knew what a true scumbag Joe Exotic was/is

When you see him in the documentary, it's hard to imagine how he ended up looking like such a crone. He really was handsome.

Interesting video, had never heard of him before. Painful to watch.

[quote]it's hard to imagine how he ended up looking like such a crone.

Ten years plus of hard drugs. The teeth are tragic. He had such a great smile.

Kate McKinnon is starring in the Tiger King TV series as Carole Baskin. Willem Dafoe is suggested for the role of Rick Kirkham. Good match.

Poor Willem Dafoe. Compared to Kirkman he looks like a prince!

That face is used to make gorilla cookies.

I thought Billy Bob Thornton would be good casting for him too

The fighting scene with him, his wife and the little kid was rough. It reminded me of my parents when they fought and they cops came when I was toddler. My dad used to do coke and was a heavy smoker too. Rick was ok looking. He kind of looks like Anthony Michael Hall when younger.

He was one of the more fascinating characters of “Tiger King”. Opportunistic and just as sleazy as the rest of them

by Anonymousreply 14April 24, 2020 2:54 AM

Am sick of this Tiger king shit !!!!
