Did anyone watch Elephant on Disney plus?

I just watched the trailer and Meghan seems unintentionally funny. I'll watch either way. Love Meghan.

Just hoping it's going to get good reviews. But a hypnotic voice is needed for this and 😥 Meghan doesn't have.

This was terrible.

by Anonymousreply 1April 20, 2020 9:29 PM

Were you expecting the gravitas of David Attenborough, OP? It's a kids' show, and the script and her delivery perfectly reflects that.

by Anonymousreply 2April 20, 2020 9:37 PM

She'll be the winner of "Innaugral Meghan Markle Award For Worst Voiceover Performance" at the 2021 Razzies.

by Anonymousreply 3April 20, 2020 9:42 PM

Was it for kids?

by Anonymousreply 4April 20, 2020 9:53 PM

She’s lame.

by Anonymousreply 5April 20, 2020 10:04 PM

Wow another racist bait thread masked as something else that was started so a whole lot of racist and abusive comments can be made. How original. I posted two days ago that insider info told me that this site was going to be deluged with Markle articles. I wasn't wrong. I was told today that the new push from the racist trolls is to start insinuating that Harry and Meghan are unfit parents. To back off Doria because apparently the hits on her weren't going down well. And yet again info was right. Comments made by Lady Guinieviere on LSA

Waterfall said: ↑ It's not unheard of for family members to step in to help with children. However, you are probably right about William and Kate. After all, they have their hands full making sure their heir and spares are raised properly so they don't have this mess to deal with when their children grow older. I would love this scenario for two reasons:

1) Baby Archie will get a chance and he will get loved. I truly don't see Will or Kate holding his parents against him and he would grow up with children who are like siblings to him and he'd feel safe and secure and happy.

2) It would drive Markle absolutely bat sh*t crazy. Not because she loves the boy but because Kate has now got one over on her and now has control of her biggest chess piece (that she also ruined her body for lol). This I would love almost as much as #1.

You have got a leak dumb asses.

The reviews are in:

Times of London

"Elephant review — Meghan, Duchess of Sussex lays the cheese on thick in shallow documentary"

"On the evidence of this feature documentary Meghan, Duchess of Sussex is swapping pomp and circumstance for schmaltz and cheesiness. The departing duchess narrates Disney’s tale of a herd of elephants crossing the Kalahari Desert from the Okavango delta to the Zambezi River, and boy does she lay it on thick."

It's behind a paywall. I can't C&P. But you get the idea....

Meghan Markle gushed over elephants and how she 'understands them' in a never-before-seen interview that was taped last summer and aired on Good Morning America on Monday, a day after she and Prince Harry said they would no longer talk to four British newspapers.

In the interview, Meghan said she was 'grateful' to have been involved in the Disney+ documentary Elephant which she hopes will teach people how similar humans are to elephants and how 'connected' we are.

R6-can you just go over on to that site and argue with them? I really don't get what your angle is coming here, because we do not care what is said on a site devoted to black women. Having said that, the clips I heard were lackluster. There was just no charisma, and Markle seems to have a so. Cal. vocal fry that I simply can't take.

by Anonymousreply 9April 20, 2020 11:07 PM

R6 Oh you are so dumb. She looks completely white fwiw I think of her that way and forget she's got a black mom and is biracial. She looks like Kendall Jenner or one of the Kardashians. LEMME GUESS if you hate on the Kardashians you're a Armenian hater and side with the Turkish genocide. Fuck off with your inferences which are kind of like prejudiced aren't they?

by Anonymousreply 10April 21, 2020 1:23 AM

She looks like Demo Moore or Jennifer Connelly.

by Anonymousreply 11April 21, 2020 1:25 AM

But prettier

by Anonymousreply 12April 21, 2020 1:25 AM

r4 Well it was made for Disney+. But so is stuff like Mandalorian, The Simpsons and Marvel movies. So probably intended as more Family friendly more than strictly intended for kids.

by Anonymousreply 13April 21, 2020 1:33 AM

R6 isn't plying this bullshit on LSA because she knows perfectly well that they won't pay any more attention than DLers do.

The Meghan Markle Unpopular Opinions thread on LSA is up to . . . 3,500 pages. Yes, pages. Obviously, they didn't get the Klan Grannie Troll's memo that the Gestapo are going to descend on them any minute and round up everyone who doesn't like Meghan.

But she keeps trying. Ah, well, I suppose it gives her something to do in the looney bin.

by Anonymousreply 14April 21, 2020 6:34 PM

Her voice is so old.

She is not 38.

by Anonymousreply 15April 21, 2020 6:35 PM

Meghan's delivery is cheesy, but the documentary looks cute.

by Anonymousreply 16April 21, 2020 6:41 PM

She’s 44.

by Anonymousreply 17April 21, 2020 7:02 PM

Elephants without Borders is amazing. They want to connect refugees and parks so the animals can roam between them and not be so inbred.

by Anonymousreply 18April 21, 2020 7:14 PM

R6 show us one racist comment made here about her then.

by Anonymousreply 19April 21, 2020 7:25 PM

Her Southern California accent and vocal fry was grating, and completely unprofessional. If I had no idea who narrated this documentary, I would've thought "who the hell is this vapid-sounding woman with the horrible upspeak? WTF was Disney thinking?"

by Anonymousreply 20April 21, 2020 7:29 PM

I like her voice though. It’s not shrill, quite deep.

by Anonymousreply 21April 21, 2020 7:33 PM

Her narration reminds me of the educational videos of the 50’s and 60’s.

Yes, I’m old.

by Anonymousreply 22April 21, 2020 7:44 PM

The reviews for this have been bad. And it's not because of race or any shit like that. She just gave a bad performance. No wonder. She has little talent.

by Anonymousreply 23April 21, 2020 7:49 PM

I watched Horrible Bosses 2 not that long ago, and was surprised to see Meghan Markle in a bit role as a FedEx delivery person. She SUCKED.

by Anonymousreply 24April 21, 2020 7:54 PM

Her voice sounds better here but she's a fake so I will not watch the whole thing. MEH!

by Anonymousreply 25April 21, 2020 8:04 PM

Nothing to see, er HEAR, here folks. If Samuel L Jackson can narrate an African Wildlife movie then so can Meghan Markle. Done.

by Anonymousreply 26April 21, 2020 8:21 PM

Samuel L Jackson is actually good at narration, r26. He has the voice for it. Markle does not. But since they're both black, what does it matter to you? All black people are alike, right?

by Anonymousreply 27April 21, 2020 8:26 PM

HRH Duchess of S’ux =/= Samuel L Jackson.

Bananas =/= apples.

by Anonymousreply 28April 21, 2020 8:28 PM

R27, I am black and Samuel L Jackson's voice is gratingly irritating. Seriously.

by Anonymousreply 29April 21, 2020 8:38 PM

Jackson has more talent in the gap between his front teeth, than Markle could ever dream to have.

by Anonymousreply 30April 21, 2020 8:42 PM

OP, you will be hearing from my lawyer. I am to be noted as Meghan, Duchess of Sussex AT ALL TIMES

by Anonymousreply 31April 21, 2020 8:48 PM

I started watching one of the episodes of Earth at Night. The narrator was so emotive, I couldn't watch it. Someone should have told her that the images convey the tension or whatever in a documentary, not the narration. I hope this isn't a new trend. I love well done documentaries.

by Anonymousreply 32April 21, 2020 8:55 PM

David Attenborough has nothing to worry about.

by Anonymousreply 33April 21, 2020 8:59 PM

She sounds too ghetto.

by Anonymousreply 34April 21, 2020 9:02 PM

R34 nice try, agent provocateur

by Anonymousreply 35April 21, 2020 9:03 PM

I can’t stand her.

by Anonymousreply 36April 21, 2020 9:09 PM

*cough*

[quote]Her Southern California accent and vocal fry was grating, and completely unprofessional.

Vocal fry? Clearly you've never heard it before, because there is none in that clip

[quote]The reviews for this have been bad

You mean the reviews in Rupert Murdoch-owned publications?

[quote]And it's not because of race or any shit like that

Oh no, not at *all* 🙄

by Anonymousreply 38April 21, 2020 9:45 PM

Oh go away, R38. You’re like the captain who will go down with the sinking ship.

by Anonymousreply 39April 21, 2020 10:00 PM

Did anyone ask her if she's okay? She's waiting...
