Domestic anti-vaxxers hate him for obvious reasons. They're delusional about the benefits of vaccines and overstate the risks.

There are some anti-vaxxers in the third world, especially Africa, who fear and detest the West generally and Western science and medicine specifically. There have been rumblings among them for at least a decade that Western vaccine drives in the third world are actually a front for medical experimentation and sterilization.

It seems like domestic anti-vaxxers are now capitalizing on the manufactured, delusional outrage and conspiracy theories in the third world. Since the Gates Foundation is pouring serious money into vaccination drives around the world, it makes sense that Gates himself is a target of these people.

All of that being said, I'm with R2 that I don't completely trust the goals of the Gates Foundation, but the vaccination drives are the main (if not only) unqualified good that the foundation is promoting. A lot of the other bullshit (promoting charter schools against all available evidence of efficacy) I think it about remaking the world according to the preferred vision of Gates and the "former" oligarchic technocrats staffing the foundation.

In the fall/winter of 2017/18 in the United States 49 MILLION people got the flu and 79 thousand died from the flu, in America. With that many people getting sick, 49 million, there was never a major alarm about it in the MSM and that's a staggering amount of people.

R54, I was really, really sick for a about 2 days back in the fall of last year and I never get sick. I can't help but wonder if it was COVID and didn't even know it.

I was really really sick in July of last year, sicker than I had been in about 7 or 8 years. So sick that once it broke I felt like I had expelled something from my entire body and being.
