LOL, I enjoy JLO but that was not a live performance at all.

I would confidently estimate that the chance she was singing that live ranges between 0.00 and 0.00 percent.

It was a great preproduced recording, though.

Several different people I know saw her Vegas show and all of them, to my extreme surprise, told me it was one of the best live shows they’d ever seen. I find it really hard to imagine but I guess I have to believe it.

Whether live or not, it was a nice interpretation, nice phrasing. She kept it simple. Except for maybe one dramatic little laugh/gasp.

R8 It sounds like a computer program grafted Lopez’s vocal tone onto Barbra Streisand’s performance of the song, like Barbra is the scaffolding and Lopez is a veneer applied on top of it.

Does she actually sing? I mean that voice sounds like you'd expect her voice to sound, and it wasn't bad at all, especially for a song that's notoriously difficult to sing. Obviously she was lip-syncing. But was that really her?

It was nice but nothing compared to La Streisand, who owns the song. JLo should stay away from Streisand song catalogue, it’s out of her league... voice.

I'm not a fan and of course she was lip syncing but at least JLo made an attempt to entertain the audience. Compare her appearance to that of Beyonce who just read a few lines about Covid awareness.

What exactly was the point of her participating and then lip syncing? It’s not like an awards show performance where there would be dancing and outfits to entertain us. How do you lipsync for a charitable solo gig on YouTube? Aargh she needs to gooooooo awaaay!! People are stuck in their houses because of this pandemic and need uplifting - couldn’t she just have given a nice message rather than sing??

She picked a lovely classic song and sang it passably well. I am in no way a fan but this is one of the better remote celebrity efforts I’ve seen.

This is obviously pre-recorded and enhanced, but auto tune doesn’t work miracles. It’s nice to hear that after only 100 years in the music business, she has learned to sing passably. She is pretty though.
