I find his twitter feed extremely annoying. He's like Rick Wilson-- often referenced, but not very original and very annoying.

He sucks up to Chrissy Teigen. He fatter and uglier than his avatar. He also has a thing for elephants.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | April 18, 2020 10:10 PM |
He has a pretty thin resume for a "journalist." His expertise on any topic is seemingly endless according to his twitter account.
He worked for Newsom when he was mayor of San Francisco.

How does he have so many connections ?
He does this Insta chat every day. He seems to know every powerful person in the US. Not just knowing them but a lot of them are his close friends.
He doesn't have any political background. I know he is born into a very rich Iranian family but people like that are dime a dozen. How did he become the thing that he is today ?

I don't know about him, but the baby elephants behind him tell a story - each one. They are from the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust on the outskirts of Nairobi, Kenya. The trust and it's work was founded by the recently, dearly departed Dame Daphne Sheldrick decades ago. They find baby elephants in the wild who have been abandoned/orphaned from their Mothers and herds and they actually raise these babies until they are capable of being reintroduced into the wild - YEARS later.
So very extraordinarily valiant and impacting. Here in this very short video we hear the story of Ndume who was rescued as a baby and is now 26 years old (at the time the video was shot).

What the hell does this mean?
by Anonymous | reply 7 | April 19, 2020 7:57 PM |
I think not.

I follow a few closeted celeb twinks, and they all like his posts and retweet him. I have wondered about his secret.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | April 19, 2020 8:36 PM |
A Ronan Farrow wannabe.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | April 19, 2020 9:17 PM |
He's certainly no Ali Velshi, that's for sure. As I discovered when trying to follow Ali. I picked incorrectly at first.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | April 19, 2020 9:24 PM |
Fuck the elephants. It's beyond precious.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | April 19, 2020 9:35 PM |
The one who is really an enigma to me is that guy who looks like Stephen Spielberg and talks about crypto currency before he goes off on Trump. He gets thousands of likes/retweets and he tweets a response to Trump's tweet within seconds of the tweet.
I don't have a twitter and I'm glad I don't. I happy just reading it here/there.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | April 19, 2020 10:23 PM |
r7 He keeps complaining that many celebs message him to introduce them to his other high profile friends, or write an article about them or retweet their tweets etc. He is viewed as someone very influential by many celebs.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | April 20, 2020 12:23 AM |
He's a liberal, but there's been too many instances where he's "liked" and retweeted Dump. He also does the "both sides" thing a lot, to show he's better than everyone else because he's open to other opinions.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | April 20, 2020 12:45 AM |
This guy keeps turning up in any issue I read up on à la Roxane Gay. But I don't really know anything about him, except I guess he's a journalist? And I see just looking into it now that he was the one causing a ruckus over that woman dressing as Amy Winehouse. So, I'm guessing he's an idiot, then?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | January 24, 2021 9:29 AM |
When I first saw his avatar I thought he was cute and attractive. Then I saw him on screen.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | January 24, 2021 9:35 AM |
Yeah, he's facetuned himself so as to be unrecognisable, it seems.

He's one of the inspirations behind the "Let's be a Huffpost Personal Title" thread.
I see him retweeted a lot, but his attack on the Alison Roman who had previously dressed up as Amy Winehouse was deeply unpleasant - she'd had some beef with Chrissy Teigen over something or other so Ali tried to shame her over the costume, even defending his attack saying Amy Winehouse never wore hoop earrings to be shown countless photos of Winehouse wearing hoop earrings. He also had nothing to say about Chrissy Teigen dressing up in traditional Native American costume.
He's a pious bully.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | January 24, 2021 11:34 AM |
Yes, but he wasn't attacking Roman to make himself look good, he was signaling to his famous friends that he values their fame so much he'd attack someone lower on the celebrity scale for them, to try to preserve the hierarchy.

He seems to repurpose breaking news content from other outlets, especially the AP, and posts it as though he were reporting.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | January 24, 2021 12:35 PM |
If I can't trust his twitter picture can I trust anything else?
by Anonymous | reply 22 | January 24, 2021 1:14 PM |
I unfollowed him last year. He posts something good once in a blue moon, but mostly he’s an annoying clout chaser with a cunty attitude. Give me Kyle Griffin any day.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | January 24, 2021 1:42 PM |
He's too rich to be a sidekick to Kim Kardashian so he started the Twitter account and the elephant schtick. A lot of dirt gets deposited with him for some reason.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | January 24, 2021 2:30 PM |
r23, my thoughts exactly. Kyle Griffin is one of the only Twitter accounts I follow.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | January 24, 2021 2:31 PM |
Perez Hilton crossed with Owen Jones
by Anonymous | reply 26 | January 24, 2021 2:42 PM |
He’s a trust fund baby who worked for Gavin newsom in San Francisco, then I think he was a lobbyist for it bit, then tried to working in Hollywood for a time and is now a journalist.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | January 24, 2021 3:37 PM |
One thing that's puzzling about him is that he doesn't seem to have written anything but tweets in quite a while. Other print journalists and writers are producing two or three pieces a week, tweeting and pinning the links. I haven't seen that on his feed. He's had the same thing pinned forever - he's one of Times top internet influencers.
I find it curious that he never went to college.

"Every celebrity tries to get into his good books for relevance."
Really?
I personally had never heard of the twat. He seems like your typical rich social-climbing asshole to me. And he has a face like a punched nutsack.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | January 24, 2021 5:36 PM |
The most catfish-y avatar on Twitter!
by Anonymous | reply 30 | January 24, 2021 5:41 PM |
Thanks, R19. I just found that thread and it's hilarious!
by Anonymous | reply 31 | January 24, 2021 6:26 PM |
I finally unfollowed/blocked the pompous clout chaser yesterday after his unsolicited slam of Jimmy Carter, saying his presidency "caused a lot of problems for people, especially Iranians" (and then proceeded to not give any examples).
by Anonymous | reply 32 | January 24, 2021 6:56 PM |
I think he's got fled from Iran family money.
I followed him for a while and found a little of him goes a long way.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | January 24, 2021 7:13 PM |
His twitter (and grindr) photo that he has used for YEARS ( is that his only decent photo?) is catfish.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | January 24, 2021 7:17 PM |
He looks like he smells.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | January 24, 2021 8:40 PM |
Pillsbury Dough Boy, and not in a cute way.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | January 24, 2021 10:58 PM |
His most recent drama is making a big deal about someone in Eric Garcetti's staff making sexual advances at him and he was traumatized. As if. When he goes after someone, he is relentless and persistent. I used to read his feed for gossip, but Rex Chapman and Kyle Griffin have all the same retweets.
