Are you a collector?
What do you collect? Beanie babies? Star Wars figures? Antique crystal ashtrays?
I want to start collecting something but can’t figure out what. My grandmother used to collect pillboxes. But she was also addicted to pills. Go figure.
How about random pieces of silverware from hotels around the world? Like this piece here:

I have a compulsion to collect coffee mugs from everywhere I travel, especially handmade ones. I have about 400 now and not enough space to display most of them.

I collect Hummel.
Yes, I know it’s old fashioned and that it’s grandma stuff, but I love it anyway.

I collect books - oy, do I collect books! Some because they're old and rare, or autographed, but mainly just to read. I keep my favorites, or ones that my partner might want to read, and give the rest to the SPCA thrift shop. I also collect autographs, and have a few interesting ones.

Don't collect anything, OP. It's just more shit for someone to have to toss out when you die.

I'm R3 from above, with the coffee mugs.
I forgot to add that I collect wooden Nutcrackers from Europe and Russia. I have 21 so far; they make a nice display on my fireplace mantel at Christmastime that amazes everyone who visits. One of my only holiday traditions.

I collected Christmas ornaments for many years. I don’t want any more. Now I have a kitty that thinks fake Christmas trees are real and tried to chew the metal “branches” when I put out some garland last year. So I ended up not putting out a tree. I think next year I’m going to get a big fake wreath and wire a bunch of ornaments to it. If she can’t reach it she can’t do anything.
