I call BS on this. Gay men were always a visible presence on flight crews (and in the industry in general), but since 9/11, no one with any other employment options is "flocking to" these jobs.

[quote]None of these careers mentioned make sense considering the majority of the people on DL claim to make over $200,000 a year...😏
I make over $200,000 a year, but I have a career in a STEM field which gay men tend to avoid like COVID-19. So I've been pretty much utterly alone as a gay man during my 20+ year career. Thanks gays!!!
Also, I used to be on the Growlr app for bears, and would always notice that in the About section, most guys would leave the "Work:" section blank or put in silly jokes such as "Work: Too Much!" or "Work: Yes!" One of the few exceptions to this were guys in media who would write "Work: Film/TV" or "Work:Media". Gee, I wonder why *they* didn't leave out their career info? Oh that's right, that's one of the few jobs stupid Americans respect and admire: entertainment.
Well, I'll go console myself with my fat paychecks from my boring math job!

I’ll say Influencer/Content Creator, Starbucks barista (there’s always one gay guy at Starbucks), and gay porn. Especially on the West coast. It’s not uncommon to find gays who have done porn a few times.

Ballet always had a large number of gay males, so this is nothing new.
What has changed over past few decades is more American young boys/men studying ballet and going onto becoming professional dancers.

Yes, there have always been gay RE brokers, sales persons, etc.... but things have racketed up another level in past decade or so. Shows like Flipped, Million Dollar Listing along with other media have shown gay males they can be out, proud and still make a good living in RE.
