WHET Kate Bosworth?

I remember liking her a lot in Blue Crush when I was in high school. Superman Returns wasn’t really her fault. She was just too young-looking for the parts and had a shitty wig.

Isn’t she still like a fashion socialite in NYC? A muse for the Proenza Schouler boys?

Kate will always have a special place in my heart thanks to Blue Crush. And I think she got some good pr out of dating Skarsgard. Not sure why she was chosen to play Lois Lane, but she was not a good fit.

I last saw her in a horror movie called The Domestics. It was shit lol

R2 and R3 I don't know how I forgot to mention "Blue Crush"--I saw it in theaters when I was a young teenager. It's rather silly in retrospect but it is a great rainy day movie and one of the defining teen films of the early 2000s.

R3 the cgi on Kate's stunt double is terrible. And it wouldn't be a 00s movie without Youth Of A Nation playing in the background 😄

Her career was ruined when she did Lois Lane, and she has Kevin Spacey to thank for that role--he for some reason was really obsessed with her after they did "Beyond the Sea" together, and worked hard to convince Bryan Singer to cast her in the part. She just wasn't right for it.

She came after two superb Lois Lanes: Margot Kidder (the best of all the women who have played the part), and Teri Hatcher. The trick to playing Lois Lane is she's feisty and very funny, and has been since the 40s in the comics (she's the best reporter for The Daily Planet, but she always gets herself into scrapes because she's so reckless). Kate Bosworth was far too serious and dreary in the role, as was Amy Adams after her. Erika Durrance was pretty good on "Smallville" (especially in comparison to the dull Kristina Kreuk as Lana Lang) although no one ever saw her again after that part.

Aww I liked Lana. And Kristen still works. She's the lead in Burden Of Truth.

She was dull as dishwater in [italic]21[/italic], the fiction movie about the MIT students gaming casinos. It wasn't a great movie anyway, but it ground to a halt when she was on screen. She was supposed to be the "hottie" at MIT.

I like her but she is so clearly struggling with an eating disorder or something. Also is there any truth to the coke rumors?

In the few movies I saw her in I found her bland, dull, generic and completely interchangeable with any of the other actresses who fit that profile.

She had a Canadian series that lasted five seasons after Smallville.

I don't know how Bosworth and her writer/director husband keeps getting invited places or how they get magazine coverage. They haven't done anything noteworthy in years.

R8 There was some backlash because the students were Asian in real life. And they only cast 2 Asian actors in the movie.

Julianne Moore loathed working with her in Still Alice. And Julianne seems like she’d be low maintenance. Kate must be awful.

Last movie of hers that i enjoyed was Life Happens.

How was she any worse than fire crotch amy adams as Lois lane? I mean as mediocre as superman returns was it was still better than 3/4ths of the garbage dceu has put out.

I love Blue Crush to this day. Cheesefest fun. Other than that Kate has never hit in anything she has done

I thought she was pretty bad in Wonderland.

I enjoyed "21" and was disappointed to read it strayed so far from the actual story. I developed such a crush on Jim Sturgess and he never really took off either. Wonder if he has any good Spacey stories.

She's just not a very good actress and she hasn't aged well. She's so thin that her head looks like it's going to fall of her rail-thin body.

She did a show for Netflix named I-land with DL fav Alex Pettyfer, worst show on the platform.

R24 granted it's been over a decade since I've watched Smallville but i don't remember hating any of the female characters.

And the new Lana isn't a redhead either.
