What is a snack apple compared to a regular apple?
I got a delivery from Costco today, and the apple packaging reads "Crunchie Munchies Snack Apples". In French below that it reads "Pommes Biologique Snack" (Don't the Frenchie Menchies have their own word for "snack"?). The variety according to the packaging is ambrosia. What are the distinguishing characteristics of a snack apple? Are they smaller and thus "fun sized" compared to others? They don't look much (if at all) smaller than other apples. Can't all varieties of apples be eaten as snacks and thus be considered snack apples? Horticulturalists of DL, please provide insight if you have any.
Cute dragon on the packaging by the way!
This is the closest to the packaging I could find doing a quick Google search:

"Crunchie Munchies Snack Apples" is frau speak.
Are your apples really Disney branded? How horrifying.

They're not. The brand is actually "Crunchie Munchies". The Disney packaging in the link is the closest I could find to the packaging of my apples. I ordered apples from Costco, and that's what they delivered. The cute dragon on the front (rather than Mickey Mouse) indicates they're meant to appeal to kids who may normally not want fruits and vegetables.

Yes, R4. The package actually reads "Crunchie Munchies Organic Snack Apples". My mistake in the original post to leave out "organic". Apologies.

too much plastic! when the apples are bagged up like that there are more bad apples in the mix.

sometimes those airtight bags contain anti-spoilage gas, in fact.
The worst places to buy fruits are Aldi and Lidl. Only buy what you can eat in a day or two. Or immediately put it in the refrigerator. Otherwise, rot.

A snack apple will fit into your snack purse. A regular will not.

It's a way for the farmer to sell his culls... Apples that are blemished or too small.

Why didn't you just take a pic of the packaging and upload it, you stupid cunt!

I believe that’s clever packaging so they can charge Fraus more than the apples are worth.
