Jaws actress Lee Fierro is dead to me!
I've searched, and cannot find a thread so here goes.
Actress Lee Fierro, the lady whose little boy is eaten by Jaws in that infamous scene, has died from Covid 19. She was 91 years old.
A dog disappears in the sea, fountains of blood, and Chief Brody getting bitch slapped.

Andrea Martin's parody in Jaws 23.
RIP Lee

Spielberg probably paid her peanuts for her scene but she played the hell out of it. Too bad but at 91 a strong wind would have killed her.

Ironic that with Trump being compared to the Mayor of Amity that a Kitner would end up dead

Well it’s still the cause of death, R3. What’s the problem?

She was wonderful in that scene. She was an acting teacher and theater director in Edgartown, MA when she auditioned for the pivotal role of Mrs. Kintner. It was her first film role.
Can you imagine being told that, for your first appearance in a movie, you have to slap established actor Roy Scheider? What an experience that must have been for her.
She only made two other film appearances (one being a no-line reprisal of her Mrs. Kintner character in Jaws 3). RIP, ma'am.

Is there a screenshot of this, R6? I don’t remember her in that movie at all.
Thanks.

Are you talking about her role in Jaws 3, R7? I don't have a screenshot, but if you've seen the movie, near the beginning, Lorraine Gary walks into her house after her son has died, and some of her neighbors are there to comfort her.
Lee Fierro is one of the women there. She hugs Lorraine Gary, and that's about it. Blink and you'll miss her.

It's Jaws the Revenge not Jaws 3

R9 - Sorry, you're right. Jaws the Revenge. My apologies.

Thanks, r8. That’s probably why I missed her.

Not a lot of people realize she was also in Jaws: The Revenge. I thought it was a nice touch. I still don't know what a "funny bone sandwich" is though.

She portrayed a frau in Jaws long before the term became known.

What was that family dynamic? She was over 50 and had a 12 year old kid? In 1975? And was she accompanied by her even older looking husband when she slapped Brody? Or was that her father?

She was 46 in 1975. Character would have had the kid in her early 30's. People looked older back then.

I know someone who knew the actress who played Aldonza in the 1971 summer production of Man of La Mancha at Grossinger's. She died of COVID-19 and was 94. Her name escapes me.

Look it up then and start a thread.

I keep waiting for one of Trump's deplorables to die from COVID-19 and then have a mourning family member come and slap the "president" right in the face and give a speech just like she did. Better yet, I'd like to see Trump get kneed right in the balls and fall over in a heap!
TRUMP LIED, AMERICANS DIED!
