“Moving Parts” Trixie Mattel documentary

Anybody else see it? My boyfriend and I just quarantine-watched it on Netflix. We’re big UNHhhh fans.

It gets kinda dark pretty quickly. The cameras were there and rolling when Katya had her meltdown during a taping of the Viceland show a few years back.

It’s of no interest to me whatsoever.

I watched it but didn't love it. Trixie's boyfriend was the producer and I think that makes it more promotional than documentary when you have someone personally invested in how the cast gets portrayed.

Is that Mother Maybelline?

by Anonymousreply 3April 6, 2020 3:56 AM

Trixie like the honeymooners?

I like Katya and Trixie and was surprised to see that a large portion of it was about their relationship and Katya’s breakdown. I thought it was quite good and interesting. Trixie is a good performer and I like her original music.

Not much to it.

by Anonymousreply 6April 6, 2020 2:15 PM

I'm enjoying it. Katya's text holy shit. Are they friends again?

by Anonymousreply 7April 30, 2020 6:36 PM

It actually made me like Trixie a little bit. I wasn't the biggest fan after her win with RuPaul's All Stars.

by Anonymousreply 8April 30, 2020 6:52 PM

I just finished it and they're friends. I really like Trixie always have.

by Anonymousreply 9April 30, 2020 6:53 PM

I used to like her, but after watching many episodes of their web series, I find Trixie obnoxious in and out of drag. I much prefer the non-obnoxious Katya. Katya's candor about her history with drugs (among other things) really endeared me to her. And I genuinely like her personality. I won't be watching.

I couldn’t get through it. How in the hell can a drag queen documentary be so boring?

by Anonymousreply 11April 30, 2020 7:13 PM

She isn't good at Drag Race, but I like her away from the show. She has great chemistry with Katya on WOW Presents, although I think UNHhhh has run its course.
