I haven't followed him closely (the threads here put me off). But I recall an interview from a few years ago that had a quote from his publicist acknowledging that Luke was gay. Luke wasn't quoted on the subject in that interview. I next became aware of his being out again by his own words when he made a Pride post across his platforms, acknowledging recent hate crimes (e.g. the lesbians beaten on the London bus). He wrote something like "you'll never keep us down."

No, it wasn't this look. His big break didn't happen until he was older, because he wasn't discovered until later in life.

Trust me, it had nothing to do with this roughed out look he has. Luke needs to stay out of the sun and moisturize.

I don't care. I find him incredibly sexy! I love his voice! Everything about him. And IMO the reason his career didn't take off is because he has very poor management. Some of his acting choices have been shit. I have watched movies just because he was in them, and was SO disappointed. I love the Alienist because I get to see him a lot. He's one of the principle characters. Finally. I hope this exposure gets him better parts. His choices a re very uneven, to put it mildly.

Luke has great management. Sure, he had some clunkers like a lot of actors, but he has had some plumb roles: He was in the Hobbit, Fast & Furious, and the Beauty & the Beast. Plus, he's had great endorsement deals.
