I work at a hospital, and everyone looks like ten kinds of shit. Beards shaved to fit PPE, ladies forbidden to wear makeup so masks can be re-used, haircuts growing out, gray roots showing or hair dyed at home, heads shaved to avoid haircuts, etc. Pete looks better than any of my co-workers.

Not the greatest picture, he looks good, but really we need a better picture to issue final judgement. Here's a couple more but it really is the facial scruff that transforms him.
