and he's SO CUTE! I wanted to say "Hey, I love your work, you're so funny!" But, I just choked up and the moment passed... Oh well...
Have you ever seen a "semi-celebrity" in public? I saw Mark Nourmand today in CVS, he's a stand up comic, all over YouTube

I remember the speech where she ran up to the podium after kicking her shoes off. I wonder which year that was.

I think it's best that you didn't go up to him at this time, you know, with the whole "social distancing" thing and all.

That’s not how you spell his last name. And he’s a real POS in real life.

I live in LA. Too many times to count.

OP! I don't find him that attractive, but love the little I've seen of that comic's work online. I wouldn't be surprised if Norm MacDonald was a bit of an influence. Love this bit he did on gay bars.

I've sat next to celebrities in the theatre on several occasions. The first was Joni Mitchell, seeing a Lily Tomlin show. Then I was seated behind David Duchovny and his wife at I Am My Own Wife. Sat next to Tom Selleck at Candide. Sat next to playwright George Firth at Merrily We Roll Along. Went out with friends after the opening of Bells Are Ringing and ended up unintentionally crashing the first night party. Sat at the table next to Faith Prince, Adolph Green, and Mark Kudisch. I was once knocked over by Shirley MacLaine at Ragtime (story posted on another DL thread)...
Faith Prince was nice as could be -friendly, chatty, and amusing. Duchovny was cool. He was mobbed for autographs at the top of the show and intermission. He said that people were there to see the play, not him, and he would sign autographs outside the theatre after the show (and did). Joni had a hot latin-type guy with her in black leather pants, with the open shirt and proverbial gold chain. Selleck was a total prick (story posted elsewhere on DL).
The theatre is definitely the place to see celebs -major and minor -Up close and personal!

I met John Travolta in a sporting goods store on a cold Fall day in Maine.
A frequent special guest on MSNBC and CNN news shows works out in my gym.
I saw Lenny Kravitz and Anderson Cooper at a Madonna concert. I saw Madonna and some of her dancers leaving that concert.
I met Jason Robards in a tennis shop 20 years ago.

I've seen many genuine celebrities in public over the years, but semi-celebrities? Does former tennis player Jim Courier count?

I see comedian Nick Swarsdon sometimes (The roller skating gay guy in Reno 911).

I saw Gordon Pinsent (Away From Her with Julie Christie) come out of either a cinema or bar drunk as a skunk. But a happy drunk!

I saw Ninja from Die Antwoord in San Diego walking around. He is even uglier in person.

R3 I've heard some of his interviews on podcasts where people seem way more relaxed. He didn't come across well. He is cute tho. What is your experience with him?

Just for DL, I've ran into Tom Bianchi AND David Pevsner, but not at the same time.
I'm trying to think of what third DL celebrity would qualify for me to win the DL Trifecta?

I served Sook-Yin Lee (Shortbus, CBC) at a ticket counter.
She acted like a complete vapid cunt. Far from the intellect she likes to present herself as.
