Why do we touch our faces?
There doesn't seem any point to it.
Couldn't they just invent a hand lotion that makes the top layer of skin cells fall the fuck off if you touch xyz virus? Why can't we have full eye contacts to protect the eyes, nostril plugs made of the n95 material and like mouth blind folds?
Also, how come nothing is ever contagious through the ears? Can't the just make all our orifices more like the ears?
Why do we have to live on this planet?

There's been so many times I've walked out of an establishment and immediately and repeatedly tried to wipe away any trace of semen on my face. Now it's just a habit.

Eyes itch all the time.
I wear glasses, and I constantly need to take them off and clean them.
My nose is in constant need of a scratch.
I have longish hair and I hate it when it gets in my eyes.

Several times a day, I have a sharp, irresistible itch where my nostrils connect to my cheek.
Some people absentmindedly stroke their mustache, beard, or chin, or play with their hair when they're deep in thought.
My dad constantly rubs his face; I think it's some kind of obsessive compulsive thing. He doesn't even realize he's doing it unless you point it out to him.

Maybe all this handwashing can be translated into a new habit of handwringing. Instead of touching our faces, we can massage our own hands, play thumb wars with ourselves, etc.
I’m not kidding about the lotion that destroys identifiable viral cells.
And I’m not kidding about this stupid planet.

It's all about dry eye syndrome for me. Between Restasis and artificial tears, I'm touching my face at least 7 times a day. Then add about 20 more times for removing the resulting eye boogers plus dried flakes from lashes.
The only time I don't touch my face is while I'm outdoors (grocery store or picking-up to-go food). I wait til I'm home and my hands are fully washed before I touch my face again.
