Not really, it's part of the job. It's tough when we have a huge cattle call of background and we have to cover all of their tattoos. Especially for a period piece, which can actually be the 90's and earlier. Sometimes we can get wardrobe to cover a lot of it.

I dayplayed on AHS: 1984 and they had to cover a lot of tattoos because everyone was wearing skimpy workout wear. The workout scenes with Billie Lourd were hysterical to watch.

Nononono- I am a makeup artist having to cover the tattoos of the dancer guys. A "short scene"hmmmm.... it depends if there are stunts, just dialogue, or something choreographed, but to give you a general idea, an episode takes 5-7 days to shoot, and that is with an average of 16 hour day with 1/2 hour lunch- but they were doing 17-18 hour days and sometimes 6 day weeks.
