emergency items for car

What do you keep in your car for emergenies? Have you ever had to use anything? I have a light and first aid kit that I've never used.

a trunk full of shit.

water, flares, radio, orange vest. extra rainproof jacket. aspirin, TP, tissues, wet wipes, bug spray, sunblock.

i used to carry snack bars, but they would get very funky and then tossed.

Jumper cables, a couple cans of fix a flat, a couple bottles of water, coolant, ten dollars in singles and quarters, a rag in case I go under the hood.

Work gloves. If you run out of gas and have to carry a gas can back, you need them to hold the handle. Lots of other uses too.

Fire extinguisher. You will probably never need it, but you will curse your stupidity when you need it and don't have it.

Dildo.

A machete, 2 gallons of drinking water, fire extinguisher, hand sanitizer , spray disinfectant, back up Satelite phone, one of those aluminum thermal blankets, AA Batteries, Radio . Flares, 2 flashlights, wool blanket , hand warmers, first aid kit, Cialis, Lube, Condoms, small bottle of listerine, anti bacterial pre-moistened wipes

Extra long puffer jacket from L.L. Bean, I could probably use as blanket too in emergency. Flashlight, large Swiss Army multifunction knife (Victorinox Ranger Grip 174 Handyman), first aid supplies, sweatshirt and pair of sweatpants, pair of waterproof work boots, work gloves, umbrella, raincoat, disinfecting wipes, paper towel, gallon plastic bags, water, water purification tablets, backpack with waterproof cover, protein bars, and chocolate. I know it's overkill.

Tic Tacs and Hand Sanitizer

In Colorado, winter or summer, we'd have blankets, brandy, first aid kit, battery operated radio/flashlight and jumper cables. But mostly blankets and brandy ;-)

by Anonymousreply 10March 29, 2020 1:30 AM

Ooh, I forgot ^ - chocolate bars too.

by Anonymousreply 11March 29, 2020 1:31 AM

These are all good ideas, thanks. I think I'll skip protein bars unless I'm headed to the mountains or desert.

A machete?

by Anonymousreply 14April 4, 2020 3:49 PM

A Halo portable charger. It works and can be used to recharge a phone too.
