Do you suppose cats know what we’re up to when we clean the litter box? If I don’t get some appreciation soon, I may let my cat wallow in her filth.
Speaking of “appreciation”

Purr, purr, purrrrrr. Happy? Now clean the fucking box!

I am not licking you again, OP. I don’t care how much peanut butter you put on your dick.

Only on an anonymous site like DL will I admit that I had the same thought this week. Vigilantly keeping her box clean - every day. Sometimes she just watching me. A sense of entitlement. She has trained me. Cats.

Cats expect you to scoop their shit and change out the litter. I think they'd be angry, and act out, if you stopped doing that.

My cat appreciates it, but then again he’s a bit like a dog.

My guy shows his appreciation for me cleaning his box by taking a good, healthy shit as soon as I'm done cleaning.

Cry me a river. My boy howls for me to come clean his behind and paws after he uses his box.

If the box is dirty, a cat will choose someplace else...

Relax—I’m not serious. Today she was watching me (Saturdays are empty and scrub days) and I was wondering if she knows what I’m doing. She certainly knows when I’m getting dinner ready.

R7, unless your cat is arthritic, you are being taken advantage of.

My car gets morose if I don’t clean his sandbox.
He gets pretty perky when I do.

of course the cat notices. don't you notice whether your maid cleaned the bathroom sufficiently?

I have a cat. I don’t know who he belongs to. I think he’s a he. He comes by everyday for treats. He’s trained me to keep treats for him. I don’t know where he shits. It’s not here.

Not arthritis, R10, but partially disabled from a stroke, which makes him ataxic (shaky on his paws). The effort he makes moves me to tears. I will say though, he's completely happy. Since the stroke, he rules this household, and like a little gangster thug, he takes full advantage of it.
