R20, if I remember correctly, she gave up boys around the same time she gave up the overalls.
Many of the lesbians I've known, though, apparently gave up boys about the same time they started wearing overalls.

R22 LOL i guess Joss decided to do the opposite.

C'est moi - the only witchy bitch I know. To thine own self be true.
And remember, the three fold law isn't bullshit. Curse knowing what you do and be ready. Blessed Be.

Marie Laveau, she's a badass.
by Anonymous | reply 83 | March 28, 2020 1:41 AM |
Marie Laveau wasn't a witch.
She was a Voodoo practitioner.
Didn't you watch the show?

She had a file cabinet for her spell ingredients.

Anyone remember the witch from the Pink Panter cartoon series?
I can't find her name.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be her best friend.

I stared at her at night like other pre-teens stared at their Farrah posters.

I saw this in theater as a wee child, and became obsessed with witches.
Are those some men dressed as the background witches?

Agnes Moorehead in a different witch interpretation than Endora!
With Ruth Buzzi
by Anonymous | reply 114 | March 28, 2020 11:18 AM |
R114 So weird. Watching Agnes in that scene, I feel like I am watching Helen Mirren.

Okay.... so the CRIMSON WITCH has torn a hole in the universe (total cunt move) and KISS and Velma ain't having it.
So Scooby and his gang and the legendary Rockers fly though the hole to lure the CRIMSON WITCH with their Black Diamond so they can teach her a lesson once and for all!
Oh...and KISS sing I Was Made for Loving You flying on a guitar spaceship.

As a kid I really liked Mrs. Zimmerman from The House With a Clock in Its Walls. The book, not the movie. For most of the story she's an unassuming, funny, grandmother type. Then when it's necessary she grabs her cloak and magic staff and calmly battles an undead sorceress. I just loved how homely the magic was in that book. Cate Blanchett was good in the movie but it's a very different take on the character.

Bridget Bishop of the Salem Witch Trials

R126: Fun fact. 5 actresses portrayed Hagatha in the series, though only the great Reta Shaw portrayed her twice. Which is hilarious because in the very first season Reta played Bertha, a family friend of Samantha and Endora with no relation.
R128: And yet Hepzibah was the successor to Samantha who succeed Titchaba in the same role. Bewitched really loved to reuse plot lines over and over and over.
