Dishy 1960s L.A. movie about swinging! Good companion piece to "Shampoo." Elliot Gould is a hairy hotso in it.
Natalie Wood isn't a very good actress. Why was she famous?
Dyan Cannon is a precursor to Lindsay Lohan.

Natalie Wood was a great actress. She was wonderful in the following films:
“Splendor in the Grass”
“Love with the Proper Stranger”
“This Property is Condemned”
“Rebel Without a Cause”

It was an interesting movie and presents a good time capsule of the changing attitudes toward sex in the 60s. The film's advertising made it look much more scandalous than it really was.
I recall the movie's ending was very surreal and artsy. The main characters walking around, looking at strangers, not saying a word, while Jackie DeShannon's "What the World Needs Now" plays in the background.

Natalie Wood was basically the Winona Ryder of her day. She was a very pretty child actor who grew up to be an exceptionally lovely adult film star. Like Winona, she never shed herself of all the little tricks she had learned as a child actress, but the camera loved her. anyways She also had some mental/emotional issues that always made her seem appealingly vulnerable.
Moreover, unlike Winona, she was a deeply nice person, and people in Hollywood absolutely adored her because of this.

It sounds like she was so supportive of Mart Crowley and Boys In The Band. The way he talks about her you can see she was a very good and genuine friend to her friends.
