Anyone Remember the NBC Drama “Kings”?

NBC was ahead of the curve with this one and they dropped the ball, canceling after a single season.

All I remember was that it was by starred this really handsome Australian actor Chris Egan. It's too bad his career never went anywhere.

Thanks, OP, I agree with most everything in the article. I thought the show was very intriguing and extremely well produced. I thought Chris Egan was the weakest point, honestly, though his earnest blandness worked okay for the part. It is a shame that network TV stopped producing bold stuff, even in only once in a while.

It was a great idea for a series. The cast included some excellent actors: Ian McShane, Dylan Baker, Brian Cox, Sarita Choudhury. But Egan was so dull it never clicked. And it even had Sebastian Stan playing a gay prince.
