When all is said and done China needs to accept the blame for the spread of the Chinese Flu virus, not lie that it was created by the U.S. Army. They arrested the 34 year old Wuhan doctor who tried to warn the world early on about this deadly virus. He conveniently died shortly thereafter. I hope the members of the U.N. impose a Flu Tax on any Chinese imports for the huge costs that have resulted.

This is scary:
@jenniferatntd Latest figures released by China Mobile show that they have lost 8.116 million users in Jan and Feb. Where are these users now? Switched to other carriers? Or, they couldn't carry their phone to the nether world?

“But Italy is worse off!”
Guess all those rumors about how crematoria were being set up next to the temporary hospitals might have had some truth to them.

The more Americans hate China, the more chance Trump will get re-elected.

No, R4. We also know he did a shit job handling the crisis. We won't forget that part. We won't forget "hoax" "pandemic team dismantled" - no doubt to "own Obama." Delay in taking it seriously - months.

Hypothetical: What if the US tells China that because they brought our economy down, we’re NOT going to repay them the $1 trillion we owe them?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | March 21, 2020 8:29 AM |
they wouldn’t lend us any more, r6, and neither would anybody else.

It would be good after the crisis if we undertake severe austerity and stop borrowing.

After the crisis? You have an after 5 year plan?

China lied, people died, fuck CHINA!

China is still lying. Why anybody should believe them now I find incredible. Like Russia. Why should anyone give either countries credence is nothing more than wishful thinking.
Interestingly enough the only people in the world who were screaming about how terrible this was were the men who were the initial Chinese whistleblowers who then disappeared. Nobody but nobody anywhere else was as vocally concerned. These men were very brave and it cost them their lives. Nobody else even in western society especially politicians and reporters were going to take that risk.
You do know that Spring break is still going on in Florida with lots of pubcrawls and sex and then tomorrow all those thousands of kids will be returning to states throughout the country. Nobody seems especially bothered by this even after months of growth, contagion and exponential deaths.

We need to become FAR less dependent on China for manufacturing so many of our needed products. Then we need to start imposing sanctions on them like we do with Russia and Iran. Their government is trash.

Our corporations decided to buy from/open Chinese manufacturing... we’re dependent on them because that is what we wanted...
by Anonymous | reply 13 | March 22, 2020 2:09 PM |
Well in this crisis many governments including our own haven't been any better. When they should have been preparing in January they didn't do a thing. Not only Trump but all our politicians and health care officials.

That’s why we should call this the Chinese Communist Party Flu.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | March 22, 2020 4:19 PM |
R1/R2 - that looks like a failure in reporting, not a sudden drop of 8.1 million users.
I've said it before - but China needs to step up and create a FDA and other government safety systems. But the Chinese government thinks they know everything and poo-poos any suggestions or interference from others.
