Learn to play all those games you've been meaning to, like Cribbage, Spades, Idiot (very fun), and a host of others including Pinochle
Also backgammon and a host of solitary games. All free.

Idiot is awesome. You get three cards and six to your left (3 face up/3 face down).
The first card is played, you must play a card EQUAL or higher. If you can't you draw.
Exceptions. Anytime you can play a 2. Anytime you can play a 5 BUT the next card must be lower. Anytime you can play a 10 but what that does is it takes away ALL the cards below a ten.
When the stack runs out you play the cards on your left. You play the three face up cards, and finally you can play the three face down ones BUT you don't know what cards are, you play them blindly.
It's fun once you get the hang of it
