Let's talk about Lucy.
She was the most beautiful and talented woman of her era. Long live Lucy..

She certainly was'nt; she had her platinum blonde chorine phase in 1933, and you can spot her in ROMAN SCANDALS (Busby Berkeley) and she has a bit with Ann Sothern in the very racy pre-Code comedy BROADWAY THROUGH A KEYHOLE.

How funny, I was just going to search for a current thread. I’ve been watching more Lucy than I usually would, because I’ve been sleeping odd hours for awhile now and the shelter in place’ has only made it worse.
Recently I found ‘Here’s Lucy’ reruns on at 4 & 4:30 am. They are somehow horrible & wonderful at same time, especially at that time of the morning. I was a kid when it was on originally, but I don’t remember what I thought of it, outside of the marionette opening. I can usually fall back asleep by the end of the first show.
Anyway, I’ve seen pictures of her with the blonde hair before and always assumed it was for a role, not her natural color.

I love (no I don’t) how people claim to be “natural blonde” all the time. What they mean is that they were light-haired toddlers. I have several friends who were blonde or light-haired as children and had brown hair past puberty.
Blonde, my fat fanny.

R8 Those people would be blonde if they were in the sun all day. I was like them but lighten up after days at the beach.
