Venice's Canals Are Beautifully Clear and Dolphins Are Swimming Through Its Ports

Something positive to report.

Venice's canals are beautifully clear and dolphins are swimming through its ports as Italy's coronavirus lockdown cuts down on water traffic.

The sky looked beautiful and clear today. Drove home from work on less congested streets and saw a blue sky with fluffy clouds.. Air quality is so much better.

And idiots still think climate change is not man made when satellite images have already shown the difference when humans are stopped from their bad habits.

According to the article at OP, the reason Venice's waters look so clean and clear isn't due to a reduction in pollution, but that there's less traffic on the canals, allowing the sediment to stay on the bottom. Fewer ferries and taxis made the air cleaner.

Let us make the lockdown on travel permanent. No traveling unless you have work to do. Sick of tourists gawping mindlessly everywhere. A scourge I say, a scourge.

"No traveling unless you have work to do."

Well, aren't you a fun bitch, R4? I guess only those who have work in, say, Florence should go there in future, then? Or Paris? And museums would be unattended...what a simpleton you are.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. No.

No need for everyone to go to museums. And why do you need to travel and see art when you come back as dumb as you left and vote Trump? Certainly the host countries don’t need the likes of you posing naked at holy shrines and patronizing underage tittie bars. Stay home.

Yes, but the animals are back in their natural habitat, and that's a VERY good thing.

And it's also because the people have retreated, which has allowed the animals to return.

Yes, R6, because Trump voters are always traveling to Europe to go to museums.

The "likes of" me "posing naked at holy shrines and patronizing underage tittie bars."

Poor cunty. You have no point. Major fail.

by Anonymousreply 8March 19, 2020 5:44 AM

Agreed, R7.
