This morning before 11am I was food shopping at Citarella's on Broadway and saw Ms. King stocking up. I overheard her talking to one of the workers and she seemed genuinely nice. There is one line to check out (then you get to the next cashier) and she was 2 ahead of me. She was in the nicest of moods and small talking to everyone. She left with many bags so I am guessing she dropped an easy $400 on food. One of the workers carried out all the bags for her. Up close she looks wonderful and yes that is 100% a wig. She is 65. Her large LV bag is worth more than several month's of rent. Well done Gayle, you have a new fan!!!!!
She lives on 57th & 3rd AV.

R3, you're probably right that she wouldn't have come close to the CBS job if she weren't Oprah's friend, but no one can deny she is awesome in that role and is easily the most appealing person on the show. She's charming, attractive, smart, funny, kind, perceptive, and she does her homework and is always prepared.
It makes me wonder how many people who aren't the friend or family member of someone famous would be equally successful if they were only given the chance.
