Where will the drunks congregate?

Lisa VanDerPump must be shaking in her dated kitten heels.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | March 15, 2020 8:15 PM |
Devon Nunez said families should go to their local restaurant. Deplorable should unite, right?
by Anonymous | reply 3 | March 15, 2020 8:19 PM |
its a temporary measure and could prevent the spread of this infection. But the economy will take a serious hit, that is what I was really worried about. I haven't totally recovered from the 2008 recession.

Ohio closes bars and restaurants ( except for carryout and delivery).
by Anonymous | reply 5 | March 15, 2020 8:21 PM |
But DeBlasio still hasn’t closed schools.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | March 15, 2020 8:24 PM |
Waiting on a source, OP. I mean I do want it to happen, but i want a source to send to friends who are being completely ignorant about this.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | March 15, 2020 8:40 PM |
Freaking Ireland closed the pubs, LA will survive.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | March 15, 2020 8:41 PM |
Fucking De Blasio won't even close down the schools!
by Anonymous | reply 10 | March 15, 2020 8:42 PM |
Ohio bars and restaurants closed. Governor says schools may be closed for the rest of the year. I’m in neighboring Pennsylvania, and feel the same will happen here soon.
These are important Swing States. Dump can be considered “finished”.

Does this mean Schock gets an OnlyFans?
by Anonymous | reply 12 | March 15, 2020 9:38 PM |
This is excessive and getting out of hand.
I hope there are lawsuits. This is way too easy to enact martial law without declaring it.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | March 15, 2020 9:59 PM |
When we successfully ‘flatten the curve’, can someone make sure R14 is under it?!
by Anonymous | reply 15 | March 15, 2020 10:02 PM |
DeBlasio just closed NYC public schools. Everything is closing down now.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | March 15, 2020 10:04 PM |
Does this apply to entire LA County or no? Just the city?
by Anonymous | reply 17 | March 15, 2020 10:06 PM |
It was Cuomo who closed the schools r16.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | March 15, 2020 10:07 PM |

All you have to do is look at the severe curtailment of our rights that occurred post-9/11 to understand that we need to have a much better system for enacting restrictions than what is currently in place.
People too readily trade freedoms for "safety" which usually isn't increased in any meaningful fashion.

My husband is a bartender in DTLA and this is worrisome. He makes GOOD money but mainly in tips. He's an actor, too but bartending has been paying the bills lately.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | March 15, 2020 10:09 PM |
You are an idiot. This isn't a terrorist attack, this is a virus r19. The only way to stop a pandemic is to stop it from spreading. Stay home and accept it.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | March 15, 2020 10:13 PM |
Well, then you and Bannon and Nunes can get together and open a speakeasy up in that festering, red boil of a CA district, R19.
And make sure you all deep-kiss Covid Mary as you pass her around!
by Anonymous | reply 22 | March 15, 2020 10:14 PM |
My tiny city Geneva Switzerland closed them all and found several million bucks to bail them out if necessary. Of course all this fun must close NOW until we see how many people are infected and things chill out. Weeks? A few months? who knows.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | March 15, 2020 10:15 PM |
While I don't hope for lawsuits R14, I agree this is getting out of hand. This will put millions out of work in LA alone.
I have to admit though, China took these kind of drastic measures (and may said they couldn't be implemented here), and they have appeared (so far) so get it under control.
Guess we will have to see. I doubt most non-corporate restaurants can survive more than a few weeks of this. Even 0% loans wouldn't be that helpful as restaurants operate on such a razor thin margin as it is.

DeBlasio has failed as a leader in this crisis. That LA is doing this before New York is embarassing.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | March 15, 2020 10:18 PM |
March 15th today. It all falls apart.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | March 15, 2020 10:18 PM |
Several countries are suspending rent/mortages/etc because of this. They are bailing out their citizens.
The US is sending trillions to Wall Street.

A friend of mine went out the other night to Boys Town on Santa Monica Blvd and said it was a ghost town. I'm not surprised this is the next step...
In other, unrelated news, my partner and I headed up to a friend's cabin in the San Gabriel Mountains for the weekend. Given the rain and current situation, we thought we wouldn't see a soul up there, but it was rather packed. Guess other people had the same idea to get away from the city for a few days..

And that asshole had the nerve to run for President. That Tulsi Gabbard is still in the race is embarrassing.

Are movie theaters and malls shut down as well? You have to shut it all down.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | March 15, 2020 11:37 PM |
It's really classic plague protocol.
What will the streetwalkers do? And the drunks who were passed out when the ban was announced. Are the liquor stores closed? Horrible time to detox.

[quote]You are an idiot. This isn't a terrorist attack, this is a virus [R19]. The only way to stop a pandemic is to stop it from spreading. Stay home and accept it.
LOL.
Of course, this is not a terrorist attack. The fact that you think in such small and shallow terms demonstrates why you don't understand and why you will gleefully accept this.
When this "crisis" is over, they'll vow, just as this did after 9/11, "never again" and will institute a raft of policies and legislation intended to prevent this from happening in the future. And, the fear and turmoil from this occurrence will have people nodding their heads in full agreement.
Rather than dealing with the underlying problems with healthcare and the healthcare system, policies will be enacted to curtail other activities, you know, never again.
I'm not saying people shouldn't be thoughtful about their personal health. I'm saying that no one is even questioning the actions being taken - you know, because the various levels of government are such sophisticated operators and this administration has proven so many times how much it cares.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | March 15, 2020 11:50 PM |
I don't understand what you're trying to say, r33. I really don't. You don't want the government to take action? What do you want to happen right now?
by Anonymous | reply 34 | March 15, 2020 11:58 PM |
Mary! West Hollywood is going to implode !

The people, those in PA, MI, and WI... will make it clear that this will be “never again”... by getting rid of Dump in November 2020.

R35, the West Hollyood bars were in desperate need of a few changes. This might finally push some of them into updating in some necessary ways...
by Anonymous | reply 37 | March 16, 2020 12:05 AM |
Update how? They're losing money.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | March 16, 2020 12:07 AM |
R38, I was just kidding -- based off a few jokes about how the WeHo bars need a facelift.
But you are right. The bars will lose money -- and bad jokes aside -- I hope they can pull through from this.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | March 16, 2020 12:59 AM |
Well, the streets look as full as ever, so...
by Anonymous | reply 40 | March 16, 2020 1:14 AM |
[quote] What will the streetwalkers do?
I read a story that streetwalkers have reduced their prices to record lows as they have bills to pay for as well.

What will this do to the porn studios? How will our fave porn star make money???
Someone do something !!!
by Anonymous | reply 42 | March 16, 2020 1:20 AM |
R42, entrepreneurial Chaturbate and amateur porn whores will probably be making a killing in lieu of the porn studios closing.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | March 16, 2020 1:22 AM |
[quote] entrepreneurial Chaturbate and amateur porn whores will probably be making a killing in lieu of the porn studios closing.
actually these "entrepreneurial Chaturbate and amateur porn whores" are flooding twitter with sales and prices dropped
Either business is down, or they are trying to cash in for those shut-in

I see Gyms in LA are closed.
What are the fitness models going to do?!

I'm a senior and stuck outside the US and trying to get home. But how can I "socially isolate" when I have to (1) be crammed into a plane with a bunch of other people and (2) end up in a horrendous line of people being screened at the airport?
by Anonymous | reply 46 | March 16, 2020 11:31 AM |
Keep you old ass where you are r46. If you were a good American you wouldn't even have a Passport, problem solved.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | March 16, 2020 11:36 AM |
Don't know if I want to WW or FF you, r47. It's a funny post I guess.
r46, if you can, I would indeed stay out of the country. Where are you right now?
by Anonymous | reply 48 | March 16, 2020 11:58 AM |
r48 this is r47 I instantly regretted sending my post because I forgot to put a witty signature like Dee Plorable or something to hammer the point that it's a joke.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | March 16, 2020 12:03 PM |
Good. Humans clearly can't be trusted to stay away from each other.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | March 16, 2020 12:12 PM |
R45 EQX sent out an email to members yesterday (I think) on closing down most of their Southern California gyms.
However, the West Hollywood and Santa Monica locations are still open as of today. Could change later.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | March 16, 2020 7:41 PM |
R48 I was in Kenya, but they kicked us out. I was supposed to fly back to LAX via Amsterdam, but that got cancelled. So now I'm in Dubai about to board a plane to go home. Not looking forward to 17 hours in a full plane.
