They think its a cop who knows how to cover his tracks.

That would make sense.

LISK is one of the big unsolved mysteries in the true crime world.

This just made a film about this. I recalled the one victim’s story being featured on some tv show a few years ago. I didn’t realize there was a suspected serial killer behind it all.

The characters in this story are wild, even the one guy’s clothing. It’s so theatrical. Something outta Twin Peaks.

He needs to target Dottie Hinkle at Four Two One Five Pussy Way.

IIRC, the killer got the number of the sister of one of the victims. He called her a few times, taunting her with details of the murder and how much her sister suffered.

are they even working on this? the problem with a case like this is that it quickly eats resources.
they should have called in the state and the FBI. but i don't think they took the help offered to them, which makes me think that they might have believed it was a cop. even worse, they might have thought it was one of theirs.
seems like basic CYA mode screwed the pooch on this one. i have little faith considering the resources that were thrown at Green River and the fact that BTK essentially sent them his own name. catching serials is nearly a crap-shoot unless they are total dumbasses. most catches have been flukes.

Calling his victim’s little sister and taunting her is nightmare fuel

One of the victims was a Chinese drag queen.

Lost Girls: An Unsolved American Mystery, not a bad read.

Just came out on Netflix. Not great but good enough.

That doctor is definitely involved. He’s at the residence where Gilbert was, gave her drugs, told the family later, saying that he treated young women and then denied it. They proved he said it. I wouldn’t be surprised if this a ring of people, perhaps a bunch of officials fucking young women.
