I beg to differ. I've driven through Alabama to Florida more than once, and it's like time traveling back from the Great Depression when you reach the last few miles before the Florida border. Before that, everything is farmland and small towns full of dilapidated houses, dilapidated churches, and dilapidated liquor stores; the only modern buildings you pass by are Chik-fil-As.
