Michael Moore in near tears over Sanders' epic fail on MSNBC

Moore is a fraud and a waste of space.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | March 11, 2020 4:12 AM |
My favorite part of the Michigan blowout is that Moore's town, Flint, voted for Biden in bigger margins than the rest of the state.

Apparently, black people know a fraud when they see it.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | March 11, 2020 4:29 AM |
I will support Biden, but we lost a once-in-a-lifetime chance at putting a true, proven progressive in office. Sanders was fighting for gay rights while Biden was against gay marriage. We will get more Republican lite with Biden, though I think he will lose easily to Trump. Trump will wipe the floor with him.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | March 11, 2020 4:38 AM |
Trump would have wiped the floor with Burn unit if he had been the nominee.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | March 11, 2020 4:41 AM |
R8=butt-burnt Bernie Bro.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | March 11, 2020 4:45 AM |
I don’t think so R9. Sanders is a powerful orator who can make ideas like universal health care sound like what they are, normal and basic standards for every civilized country except ours. And compared to Biden? Conservatives are already having a field day with his many gaffes, including his literally saying we should reelect Trump.
But voting against our best interests is an American specialty apparently.
Biden will lose.

[quote]Sanders is not going to speak to his supporters tonight
Remember when both Trumpsters and BernieBros had a fit because Hillary didn't talk to her supporters on Election Night? I mean, even knowing that something sketchy happened with the election and that HRC was trying to get to the bottom of it, they're still TO THIS DAY beside themselves in anger over her decision to speak the next day.
This, however, has them praising Bernie for being such a great, level-headed, positive saint of a man.
People are exhausting.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | March 11, 2020 4:51 AM |
[quote]Sanders was fighting for gay rights while Biden was against gay marriage
Biden is why we have gay marriage now.
If Sanders can't win against Biden, he sure as hell can't win against Trump. We already told you that when he couldn't win against HRC but you wouldn't listen, and I guess you won't listen this time, either, but there is no point in having a progressive candidate if that candidate can't win.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | March 11, 2020 4:53 AM |
R9 You are disinformation. You’re good . Anyone who amplifies the Russian and trump/RNC blather about Biden’s mental acuity gets an automatic ignore. Watch this dude.

[quote]Moore seemed bitter as hell, wouldn't even say if he would vote for Biden or not.
He'll do the same thing he and Sarandon and others did in 2016, say that it's best to not vote Biden at all, and come close to but not outright say that he would vote Trump.
That's what they're all going to do. It's going to be "Biden is a Republican so you might as well stay home" or "Biden can't win so you might as well stay home."
It's already happening on this thread. Just be aware of it.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | March 11, 2020 4:55 AM |
Bernie Sanders can be inspiring, BUT.......the man never got a SINGLE bill passed in the Senate, and he's been there for decades. That does not inspire confidence that he would have any clue how to get a Congress under his administration to pass bills that he wanted.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | March 11, 2020 4:55 AM |
[quote]Sanders is a powerful orator who can make ideas like universal health care sound like what they are, normal and basic standards for every civilized country except ours.
If this was anywhere close to being true then Bernie would have an insurmountable lead and not Biden.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | March 11, 2020 4:55 AM |
R13 He can win. If he wins and we take the Senate we will be immeasurably more stable. Then the process of policy debate can start. If we have 4 more years of trump, it’s over. Law is the foundation or the backstop, of civility. He wants to destroy the Law.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | March 11, 2020 4:58 AM |
Biden is Republican lite, and it’s progressive cowardice that is stopping Sanders. Sanders was our chance. Moderates did NOT vote Trump in, people who want change did that. Those people could have gone for Sanders if he were given the platform.
Honestly, does Biden inspire? Is anyone passionate about Biden?
I’ve already said I’ll support Biden, but yes, I’m butt-hurt that our choices are far right and center right as usual. It’s pathetic.

But the WH Media Director tweeted a video clip that had been edited to end after "We can only reelect Donald Trump." Twitter has since labeled the clip "manipulated media" (to, of course, the whining and dismay of the Trump campaign). But you keep fucking that pony, r22.

R14, Joe Biden is not, in fact, Anthony Kennedy.
It's great that Biden came out in favor of marriage equality before Obama, but both of them were laggards compared to the Democratic Party's liberal wing, which has been right on every social issue and has dragged this country forward despite conservatives and centrists fighting them every step of the way.
Words and facts mean things.

Maybe not, but some independents willing to vote for Biden (or whomever) if he gets the nomination would instead vote for Bernie, given the opportunity. Not all (or even most) of the Bros refused to vote for HRC in 2016.
I don't appreciate the fact that the party is forced to support Bernie's candidacy, but it's better than the alternative.

Moore was right that Trump would win the Rust Belt, so I wouldn't completely write off his political instincts. If Biden wants to win that part of the country, he needs to distance himself from globalism. Presumably, since Biden's last name isn't "Clinton", he doesn't yet have the stench of NAFTA on him, but he supported it all the same.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | March 11, 2020 8:13 AM |
Moore predicted Trump would win but he did so without figuring in Comey and the voter registration hacking from the Russians. Those two things pushed the vote totals in a very few key states to Trump. That's why he won.
Moore isn't a great prognosticator, he was just whining about Bernie not being the nominee when he said Trump would win.

The thing I didn't like about Moore last night was he said (and I'm paraphrasing) that Biden and Hillary said they didn't know if they would vote for Bernie, and by proxy sent a message not to support Bernie.
I think he was about 30 seconds from going full on " the establishment is rigging this against Bernie" . When I'm like bitch Hillary is just a book shill and popular figure. Please stop acting like any Celebrity Endorsement IS the establishment and that the establishment are the very voters you saw in line. Yeah right!? the black guy and other nameless citizens who waited for hours in Houston are TOTALLY DNC officials who dressed up like common citizens by the millions in a conspiracy to promote Biden.Bitch stop !!!
People very clearly were anti-Hillary as that can only explain Bernie's decline in states he won. Yet, somehow you believe Hillary has sooooooo much pull she can sway and election with her words? Bitch get your brain checked. I used to really like Moore but when he went almost full Bern Bot , I lost so much respect for him. White working class and rural Michigans who played a key role in giving Sanders the north Michigan counties in 2016 went big for Biden yesterday.
Along with those educated broads the news readers talk about, I would call that an important voting block.
I get the Bernie supporters. I understand that we need to shake things up to get things done. And I feel like a pussy for saying it, but we need to put the snow globe down, it's already swirling enough.

[quote]People very clearly were anti-Hillary as that can only explain Bernie's decline in states he won
I don't think a lot of us realized how many votes Bernie got simply because he wasn't Hillary. People were more upset about the lack of choice than they were excited about Bernie. Once there was a wide variety of choices for voters, a good third of his 2016 support vanished. I suspect if there had been a third candidate in 2016, the primary would have gone a lot better for HRC in the long run.
Also, the spectre of Hillary doesn't work to motivate voters anymore. When she was on her book tour a few weeks back the BernieBros went nuclear with rage, but no one else cared. The media started in with the Hillary attacks but they went nowhere because audiences weren't biting anymore, and it all ended quickly.
Biden doesn't elicit that kind of rage. Thanks to the GOP trash, people no longer care about the plagiarism, Anita Hill or the gaffes.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | March 11, 2020 12:09 PM |
Republicans chose our candidate once again, using the media to create a non-existent rush to judgement against Bernie, helped by the cowardice and gullibility of Pete and Amy. Biden throws away the best weapon we have: the impeached president, because after all it was Biden's son whose dodgy dealings created that opportunity for the president. Biden has a history of corruption, of insensitivity to the working class (those jobs are NOT coming back), of making gaffes, of being a dirty old white man in a way that Trump gets away with but no Democrat can; and I'm sure he has skeletons galore. Obama CHOSE this motherfucker because he knew nobody would assassinate him when the alternative was this low IQ turd. And he is probably no healthier than Bernjie.

Black voters are smart and pragmatic. They don't feel that White people will vote for a Black man any woman a gay guy or a Dem socialist. That's why Biden is doing so well with the Black vote. Trump is an existential threat so basically, The mindset is figure out who"whitey" will vote for and vote for them.
I like Bernie let's be honest he's a terribly flawed candidate he's done nothing to appeal specifically let me repeat specifically let me repeat again specifically to Black voters. He doesn't mind appealing specifically to white voters, going on Fox News etc. but he ignores the South, doesn't do any town Halls specific to the issues of black people and his a rising tide raises all boats message rings incredibly hollow to Black people given the history of our country.
If you go issue by issue the majority's of black people support baronies policies but if you want people's vote you have to do the work. Bernie didn't do the work. He hasn't been working these last 4 years to get Democrats elected. He hasn't tried to broaden his message. Its either his way or the highway, you're either with him or you're some corporate stooge his supporters even attack Elizabeth Warren for goodness sakes.

R71 You nailed it. Black people kinda know, in this country you have to cater to the white supremacists in order to make any kind of change in America. So Joe Biden it is.
Your also right about the, "A rising tide raises all boats" bullshit. That's Bernie Sanders in a nutshell. He's the type of asshole who can only appeal to liberal whites. I mean, he lives in Vermont for shits sake. One of the whitest states in the fucking union.
Bernie dosen't believe in intersectionality at all. And because of that, he won't be president. He sees all marginalized groups as the same and that's not the case at all. Black people have had a unique experience in America going back centuries. That's not the same as other groups in America. Bernie did this to himself. He also ignored certain parts of the country as well. He didn't go to Mississippi, nor the recent Selma March across the Edmund Pettis bridge two sundays ago. People sit back and pay attention to everything you do during an election year, and Bernie did many things wrong.
We know Joe is an asshole and (his words) "nothing will fundamentally change." But I think most people are just looking to beat Trump in November, and get him out of the white house, which why joe has so much support now. The only people that will win are the rich. And I believe everyone understands that. But people really want to get Trump out of the white house, and hopefully get back to something resembling normalcy again.

I really don't understand how he's even halfway relevant now. He is not fascinating in any way, his neck jiggles when he talks, he has an ugly underbite and isn't articulate at all. I dread when they bring him out on MSNBC like he's a past president.

You don't sit it out, whine and scream. You swallow your pride and get to work and form a relationship with his supporters and work to get them on board with progressive ideas.

I don't care about gay marriage or Biden's Iraq War vote or Anita Hill or any of that. I care about getting Dump out, and Dump is worried enough about running against Biden that he tried to blackmail another country int getting dirt on Biden because he considers Biden a credible threat. All that matters is getting Dump out and it won't be with Bernie, which is why Dump and the GOP supported Sanders against every other Democrat running.

Who gives a shit if Obama was for gay marriage or not? You can get married now, get the fuck over it.
Who gives a fuck, seriously. This is bullshit nonsense your arguing about.
You can get married, thats all that matters. You queens are tiring.
by Anonymous | reply 93 | March 11, 2020 1:51 PM |
There was a questionnaire that Obama filled out in 1996 when he apparently said he was for same-sex marriage, but by 1998 he clarified that he was undecided, and then by 2004 was against it. He didn't change until Biden nudged him toward it.
The BernieBros will say that "Obama was for same-sex marriage in the 1990s and Biden had nothing to do with it" based on this unclear situation with the questionnaire, and the reason they won't link to their proof is because they don't want to reveal what the "proof" is.
It's important to know this because it's anti-Biden propaganda -- BernieBros will use it, so will Trumpsters. Know the truth.
THAT'S why "us queens" bring it up, R93, and if you don't like hanging around us queens, why don't you go the fuck away.

[quote] Did Hillary or Obama vote for gay marriage back in 1996? No. Yet you were fine voting for them.
The only votes that gave us marriage equality were the votes in the Supreme Court and the only votes that can take it away are in the Supreme Court, that is why we need a Democratic President who will put liberals on the Supreme Court, a vote for any Republican (or just refusing to vote) is a vote against marriage equality.

Apparently millions disagree with you. Get off fucking social media and search the results of the primaries so far--you will be shocked!!! And for those claiming Bernie is so great, you do know that in fucking VERMONT, he refused to say if he backed gay marriage or not, right? And again--that was in fucking Vermont. He said that it should be up to the states to decide whether they wanted to grant unions or not, he tried to avoid the topic of gay marriage as much as possible. That is Bernie in a nutshell--when it comes to actual political action, he is a wimp. Biden has made mistakes but he has apologized for some of them, including Anita Hill. Has Bernie ever apologized for the things he has falsely claimed/done?

Why do you have to be passionate about someone in order to want him or her as your leader? Is the Age of Trump the Age of the Cult, in which one must be a passionate zealot or GTFO?
That's the problem with Sanders, actually -- his followers act like cultists. He can do no wrong! He is our savior! Anyone in his way must be annihilated! Time to troll anyone who disagrees with God Emperor Sanders online! It's scary, like the Left's version of Trumpism.
And like Trump, Sanders has spent his entire life scolding and complaining about how government is less than perfect, and how he has all the answers, rather than being involved in any executive capacity or even substantial legislative capacity at all. It's really shocking how little legislation has had anything to do with Sanders in particular.
It's not surprising that so many of Sanders' supporters are young people. They're so used to having everything they want at their fingertips, and internet scolding and dogpiling, that they think politics works the same way. It doesn't -- democracy is about compromise and choosing the leader you dislike least, rather than going completely insane unless you get exactly who you want. That is literally why Trump is in the White House right now.

(r114), I'm from Flint. My husband was best pals with Moore and was in his movies and tv shows, until they eventually had a falling out. We visited him in his posh NYC apartment, which was in a building where a lot of SNL people lived. It featured a huge terrace and was decorated in an arch way, with a plaster bust of Elvis and the like. He then moved to an even swankier place, which I never saw. We also visited him and his then wife at their lakeside northern-Michigan place. That started off as a modest (for a mogul) log home but soon grew into an overblown mansion. His wife was sort of artsy-craftsy and that's how it was decorated.

by Anonymous | reply 126 | March 11, 2020 4:10 PM |
Biden won simply because the DNC forced Buttigieg and Klobuchar out of the race to stack up votes for him. He wouldn't win otherwise because most voters were more inspired by other candidates. That's why he lost Iowa, NH, and Nevada miserably.

R132, yes when everyone else loses it's because they ran bad campaigns and didn't have a message that inspired voters.
When Bern Out loses it's a conspiracy and everyone else is keeping him down.
It's not at all that Bern Out doesn't put out the hard work and effort... like you know he had 4 years to target the voters he did so poorly with in 2016 but literally didn't bother at all. ..but totally not his fault.

R130, South Carolina was never going to vote for Jewish, female or gay candidates. There are too many biases there. The question is why did the DNC wait until the race that Biden was always predicted to win to force Buttigieg and Klobuchar out of the race.
by Anonymous | reply 135 | March 11, 2020 4:31 PM |
R134, I do find the media tears over Warren dropping out very over-dramatic. I"m sure misogyny did play a role, but she lost because she attempted to usurp populism from Bernie (which she knows is bogus) while also presenting herself as "practical" about it. She has changed from her days of being a professor. The professor Warren would have looked at the hard data and said "Bernie's plans are ridiculous" but no, this Warren wanted to co-opt that movement for herself.
by Anonymous | reply 136 | March 11, 2020 4:32 PM |
Agree R136-- also, as many in the press have mentioned, she ran as "Liz the Harvard professor with a plan" and not "Betsy from Oklahoma, the gal who made good" and that hurt her.
Her "Man from Hope" video would have been just as stirring as Clinton's --she overcame a lot--but she just let that part disappear and she became the candidate of Women Who Carry PBS Logo Bags And Wear Chunky Earrings and she lost.

Marriage is between a man and a woman. Two men cannot make a baby, neither can two women. Besides, it's selfish to do that to children. Children deserve a mother and a father, not two of the same sex parents.

Prepare for the Mary post coming up:
Biden is the definition of the word grit. This is what people need right now in a leader. He’s lost a wife and a son. Run for president 3 times and lost, was appointed VP and helped guide an inexperienced President through the quagmire of Washington high level politics, lost another son and then had yet another son survive an addiction and an international investigation. He’s still standing and THAT is what America needs right now imho.
Not some finger wagging douchebag career politician who is a Russian asset and achieved nothing in 30 years, and can’t work with anyone. Fuck Bernie. Fuck him in his hairy ears.
