So glad Patricia Ariquette has branched out into singing. Such a talented woman!

Meh . . . .
by Anonymous | reply 3 | March 8, 2020 1:17 AM |
They didn’t even give this a chance for ANY success getting that has been to sing it.

Wow how tall is the actress starting as Mulan? Is xtina that short? Xtina is a midget wearing 10 inch heels 😂

Who dat?

I would like to see Christina Aguilera as Martha in "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?". She has that overripe, blowsy quality. Ryan Reynolds for George?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | March 12, 2020 12:50 AM |
That's a simple, but well written song. Very pleasant. Thankfully, Christina kept the vocal histrionics to a minimum. It will likely get an Oscar nod for Best Song and it may just win if the competition is weak this year.

It's a good soundtrack song for sure. I usually think Christina over sings. But she sounds great here.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | March 12, 2020 1:46 AM |
It's no Reflection, by a long shot. Actually, it sucks.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | March 12, 2020 1:48 AM |
R6 the fuck is Xtina wearing?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | March 12, 2020 2:29 AM |
She needs to lose weights for fuck’s sake. She’s a midget and she’s fat 🤢
by Anonymous | reply 15 | March 12, 2020 2:40 AM |
She probably ain't little to nothing from her teens right through her twenties. Let her eat cake.

*ate little

The movie will flop bigly, people are sick of anything China right now.
And that was one of the most infuriating voices ever. Why does she have to roll her tongue all the time while singing. Bloody annoying.

R18 that’s how people sing, darling
by Anonymous | reply 19 | March 12, 2020 3:06 AM |
She sang it live on Jimmy K show. She sounded even better on the record
by Anonymous | reply 20 | March 12, 2020 4:32 AM |
R19 No, my great Whitney didn't sing like that and her hologram surely won't!
by Anonymous | reply 21 | March 12, 2020 4:49 AM |
Couldnt figure out if thats Iggy Azalea or Demi Lovato singing for this china-pandering movie
by Anonymous | reply 22 | March 12, 2020 4:50 AM |
Is Iggy Azalea still a thing R22?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | March 12, 2020 4:52 AM |
"Reflection" is one of those debut singles everyone forgets. Like "Work It Out". Most people would say "Genie in a Bottle" was Christina's first single and "Crazy in Love" was Beyonce's.

What the--She is a fucking cow!
by Anonymous | reply 25 | March 12, 2020 11:13 PM |
Mewl on.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | March 12, 2020 11:31 PM |
Surprised that Xtincta actually has a decent new song.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | May 15, 2020 4:21 AM |
R24 because Genie in a Bottle and Crazy In Love were their debut singles for their debut solo albums.
Reflection and Work It Out were songs for a soundtrack.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | May 15, 2020 4:28 AM |
I think Work It Out was for Austin Powers.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | May 15, 2020 5:59 AM |
The lyrics are meh. Reflection blows this shit out of the water.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | May 15, 2020 9:33 AM |
DLers get pissed when people refer to " New York, New York" as a Sinatra song, rather than Liza's. " Reflection" is a Salonga song, not Xtina's.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | May 15, 2020 12:30 PM |
Eh, it's not spectacular, but a nice way to give a nod to 'Reflection'. The oriental elements are a little bit cheesy (and it sounds like a koto which is actually a Japanese instrument - classic Disney lol). But the songwriting itself is solid and she gives a classy, understated vocal performance. It just needs a little more oomph in the chorus or something.
Doesn't scream 'Oscar winner' to me but if Dianne Warren can get nominated for her corny awards-bait ballads then this wouldn't be a terrible inclusion.
