Putin has that old Soviet Union mentality. He's not in the 21st Century with the rest of us and he's doing great damage to Russia. A lot of protests in Russia about him lately. He's even disliked there.

Europe doesn't impress anyone anymore. With the UK wisely exiting, the EU is a declining toothless mess and Russia knows it.

R12, I used to wonder why Czech people were extremely adamant that they are not Eastern European. In their own words, they are Central European -- that's a major distinction to them -- and being lumped in with the eastern bloc countries was a huge mistake.

Czechia is lukewarm To gays and open homosexuality. Gay marriage has been unable to be passed there.

I like that a lot of you are avoiding why they're against it: Orthodox Christianity and Catholicism.
