Black Man's eye-opening story about taking 'a black walk' in a white neighborhood goes viral

So sad. When will white people change? They use the word “change” for pushing blacks onto the streets but they themselves NEVER change.

He wrote:

"I took a black walk this morning. I took a black walk through a white neighborhood. When I take black walks, I think black thoughts. I am conscious of where I've placed my gun, my gun, and my gun. I mean, my phone, my wallet, and my keys. Because Peace Officers have a hard time telling the difference. I rehearse what I'll say if a concerned resident, or a law enforcement employee has questions about why my black body is walking through their white space. And I remind myself to make sure the law enforcement employee has his body camera recording. Sometimes it helps if there is video evidence to accompany the hashtag.

There is no way to be stealthy when you take a black walk. White neighborhoods are blanketed by a sophisticated security system comprised of nosy neighbors, Ring doorbell cameras, and white women walking their dogs. So, I've learned to notice the white world through my periphery. To be aware of the dangers without acknowledging them. There is an art to making white people feel safe. To say 'Good Morning' and flash a smile that shows confidence and deference at the same time. To being polite because your life depends on it.

I felt the squad car behind me before I saw it.

It moved deliberately. Not like the other cars mindlessly whizzing past. Its tires inched. Crept. Stalked their way toward me.

I kept walking.

"Don't take your hands out of your pockets," I thought. Or wait, maybe I should? Maybe it's better if my hands are clearly empty. But it's cold outside…maybe it's nothing. Keep walking.

The car rolled past me and made a slow right turn. I glanced quickly but didn't stare. The air is still. My ears tuned out everything but the slight scuff of my sneakers on the sidewalk and the fading sound of those stalking tires.

Almost there.

Suddenly the squad car re-emerged. It was a block ahead of me. It made a quick right turn, continued to the end of the street, and then waited. No more stalking. This was a show of force. This was a roar. This was a reminder that I was trespassing.

I kept walking.

As I approached the corner, the front window began to roll down. The occupant didn't speak. Didn't smile. Just stared. I was being warned.

I crossed the street and the lion trotted off. He had effectively marked his territory. The brave protector had done his job.

I however, couldn't help but wonder what I'd missed during my black walk. It's hard to hear the birds chirping, or to smile at the squirrels playfully darting along the branches when you're on a black walk. It's easy to miss the promise of a light blue sky, or appreciate the audacity of the red, yellow, and purple daisies declaring their independence from the green grass when your mind is preoccupied with black thoughts.

I took a walk through a beautiful neighborhood this morning. But I missed the whole thing."

What is truly sad is how many white trash fuckers will dismiss this.

by Anonymousreply 2March 2, 2020 10:56 PM

And as uncomfortable as you felt. Do you know what a white man feels walking through a black neighborhood?

by Anonymousreply 3March 2, 2020 10:59 PM

R2 I’ve never ever ever been on LSA. I didn’t even know it existed until a couple of months ago when a racist (probably you) brought it up and I realized they (or you) bring it up every time something about black people is brought up.

by Anonymousreply 4March 2, 2020 10:59 PM

R3 nothing. Most times they walk through and nothing happens. More times than the opposite

by Anonymousreply 5March 2, 2020 10:59 PM

I took a white walk in a black neighborhood. My purse was stolen and I was thrown to the pavement by the kids who stole it.

by Anonymousreply 6March 2, 2020 11:00 PM

R6 sure.

by Anonymousreply 7March 2, 2020 11:00 PM

R5 And many times nothing happens when a Black man walks through a white neighborhood too.

by Anonymousreply 8March 2, 2020 11:01 PM

R8 false. They’re harassed.

R4 This is a worldwide gay site. You endless obsession race seems misplaced here . Maybe share on facebluck for the virtue cookies.

by Anonymousreply 10March 2, 2020 11:06 PM

R8 the difference between the two is most black people don’t pay any mind to a white person walking down their block. That’s the truth. They leave them alone as long as they’re not doing shit. MOST TIMES (not all).

White people DO pay mind if they see a black man walking down their blocks, however, and the slightest suspicion they call the cops, even if the black man is doing nothing.

The black people don’t run to the cops and try to cause havoc right away. If they find something off they approach the man themselves. White men call cops automatically KNOWING what will happen to that man.

by Anonymousreply 11March 2, 2020 11:07 PM

Blacks much prefer to live in a Black community and Whites prefer to live in a White community and that is the truth so whats the problem?

by Anonymousreply 12March 2, 2020 11:07 PM

OP, you need to brush up your writing skills. Ugh. You need to frame your story as less of a 'white-baiting' blog and more of a 'thoughtful black man' opinion piece.

by Anonymousreply 13March 2, 2020 11:09 PM

R13 I didn’t write it. Moron.

R12 so then you agree whites should stop invading black and Hispanic peoples areas? Because I’ve been saying that over and over and the response from you and others is always the same pro white bullshit.

by Anonymousreply 14March 2, 2020 11:13 PM

Op is a troll.

Lots of white folk supported justice for Travon Martin. He was walking back in his own stepparent's neighborhood, was harrassed and shot when he tried to stand his ground.

People in Russia must think Americans are really stupid to fall for this. We have black coworkers, friends, went to school with black folks, see black folks all the time, dated, married black folks. The list goes on. Trolls are so dumb. Just because you've never seen a black person in Russia. American blacks started all that hip hop your Russian Addidas loving people wear so STFU, grow a backbone and stop working for the Kremlin.

We're over you.

by Anonymousreply 15March 2, 2020 11:13 PM

I don't like such things as rap or hip hop music, baggy clothes, or anything like that. I know a lot of white people are into that kind of sub culture and while I don't feel threatened by it personally, I don't seek it out either. I also know black people who not into that culture. I don't expect them to expend any more effort than I do in social situations and appreciate it.

R29: So because it doesn't happen in Canada, then it automatically follows that it doesn't happen in other parts of the world? That's some dumb logic.

The most accurate representation of white privilege is this: [bold}white people are given the benefit of the doubt.[/bold]

White person walking in an affluent neighborhood: he lives there. Black person walking in an affluent neighborhood: prowler up to no good.

White person shopping in a fancy store: left alone to do her shopping. Black person shopping in a fancy store: a suspect. Security must follow her.

White person driving a luxury car: it's his. Black person driving a luxury car: he stole it.

White person breaking his front door down: he locked himself out. No worries. Black person breaking his front door down: he's a burglar. Call the police. (This actually happened to Henry Louis Gates, host of Finding Your Roots. Returning home from a trip, he discovered his front door was jammed. While trying to force the door open, a witness called the police to report a burglary in progress.)

Why do people like 29 insist that because it hasn't happened to them, or because they've never seen such a thing, then it must not exist? Talk about willful ignorance.

by Anonymousreply 36March 2, 2020 11:46 PM

This has happened to me a few times. My first job was in a predominantly white neighborhood. During lunch I dropped off some dry cleaning in one of the local shops and the lady said to me “You don’t live around here do you” when I said no she was visibly relieved. Once I was visiting a friend in his white neighborhood. I was sitting on his porch while he stepped in to get drinks. People actually stared as they walked by. They didn’t say hello. They didn’t smile. Just looked at me warily. I went inside. And I’m a black woman! And no I’m no “hood”. Just a college educated woman trying to make it in this world.

by Anonymousreply 37March 2, 2020 11:47 PM

Let's try it again: [bold]white people are given the benefit of the doubt.[/bold]

I used to work for a dog walking company. We had a mix of walkers, some white, some Asian, some black. Most of the neighborhoods were affluent, not necessarily all white but mostly white, middle eastern and Asian. The black walkers had the cops called on them a few times. I never did.

by Anonymousreply 42March 3, 2020 12:04 AM

OP, you should have said taking a "black male walk". No one is afraid of black women. Humans learn from their experience to be wary of people who might cause them harm. It's human nature to profile and quickly gage situations that might be a threat.....then make a decision: fight or flight. It's how we have survived so long as a species. People are fearful of young black males because they commit the majority of crimes. No getting around that fact.

When you really stop & think about it, it’s so sad that white people live in terror of blacks. They’re held in bondage, in chains created in their own minds. Those chains are, however, a lot lighter, and longer than the ones blacks actually had, physically wrapped around their bodies, just because white men with money ran out of people to enslave in Europe, and had to keep pounding the pavement for new flesh.

Only a depraved people could sit with this at night, and be ok with it, yet terrified of a black man walking down the street.

by Anonymousreply 50March 3, 2020 12:42 AM

It's a fact. I've seen it. I was waiting outside a house (upper middle class) for a friend. There were three of us in the car -- two white guys and a black dude. The police rolled up and wanted to know what we were doing there. Someone in a house had called them. It's sickening. I was embarrassed for my friend. The question that's never asked though is "Why?" Why does this happen. It's not fair and shouldn't happen. So why does it?

by Anonymousreply 51March 3, 2020 12:47 AM

80 + percent of white violent crime victims are victimized by WHITES.

Whites fear nonwhites not because most whites have been victimized by them. Whites fear nonwhites because of antiquated white supremacist stereotypes. For example, most rapes are not perpetrated by a nonwhite stranger, jumping from the bushes. In most cases the victim is acquainted with the perpetrator.

Large numbers of people believe that all gays molest children. You wouldn’t dare claim those bigoted feelings are the result of firsthand experiences. Yet you and the other brain dead bigots will come here everyday and defend and attempt to justify your white supremacist racism.

White supremacist racism elected Donald Trump. Whites would rather burn this country to the ground, rather than support racial equality. And that is exactly what is happening. Good riddance to bad rubbish!

by Anonymousreply 52March 3, 2020 12:51 AM

Whites are more likely to be harmed by another white person than a black or brown person, by up to an 80% chance. White people also need to stop with the “whites don’t commit crimes” when over 80% of children being raped are by... WHITE MEN.

I would much rather rub shoulders with a black man that stole something from the store than a white man fucking a 2 year old.

I have a group of friends that includes several black men and one black woman. We were all out grilling and partying in my yard in the white hood. My one friend noticed the elderly neighbors looking at us disapprovingly and intoned in a rich authoritative baritone, “ this place is teeming with negros, teeming I tell you.” He was a drama student and is very theatrical. We were laughing hysterically and now when I see a black person walking around in a white place, I say “this place is positively teeming with negros, teeming I tell you!” It’s tragi-comic I guess.

So, for those who keep acting like whites deal with it as bad... here is the FBI breakdown of Hate Crime Victims... Blacks are #1 victims of Hate Crimes in this Country

Here is their breakdown of Victims...

By bias motivation (Based on Table 1.)

An analysis of data for victims of single-bias hate crime incidents showed that:

59.6 percent of the victims were targeted because of the offenders’ bias against race/ethnicity/ancestry.

18.7 percent were victimized because of bias against religion.

16.7 percent were targeted because of bias against sexual orientation.

2.2 percent were victims of gender-identity bias.

2.1 percent were targeted because of bias against disability.

0.7 percent (61 individuals) were victims of gender bias.

Further examination of these bias categories showed the following details:

Racial/ethnicity/ancestry bias (Based on Table 1.)

Among single-bias hate crime incidents in 2018, there were 5,155 victims of race/ethnicity/ancestry motivated hate crime.

47.1 percent were victims of crimes motivated by offenders’ anti-Black or African American bias.

20.1 percent were victims of anti-White bias.

13.0 percent were victims of anti-Hispanic or Latino bias.

4.1 percent were victims of anti-American Indian or Alaska Native bias.
So, for those who keep acting like whites deal with it as bad... here is the FBI breakdown of Hate Crime Victims... Blacks are #1 victims of Hate Crimes in this Country

Crimes against whites are never classified as hate crimes. Whites are simply considered to be a victim of crime. Period.

So your list means little.

by Anonymousreply 60March 3, 2020 4:26 AM

R60 they have 20% of Hate Crimes as white... so they do get counted.

by Anonymousreply 61March 3, 2020 4:31 AM

R61 Only if they're white people with a defining characteristic: gay or Jewish or disabled etc.

Otherwise white people are not counted as being victims of hate crime based merely on race.

So those statistics mean nothing.

by Anonymousreply 62March 3, 2020 4:39 AM

It’s ridiculous to claim that white people walking around in a black neighborhood are in danger or suffer anything comparable to what blacks experience when they walk in a predominantly white area. I’m not dismissive of the real crimes committed against anyone anywhere, but it makes no sense to conflate “black neighborhood” with “high-crime neighborhood.” I’m a white (and pretty obviously gay) guy living in a primarily black neighborhood and people are just genial, normal, going about their business.

by Anonymousreply 63March 3, 2020 4:43 AM

[R63] Yes, I have lived in several black neighborhoods and the people were so welcoming. I thought how if the tables were turned, white people wouldn't be as warm and kind. Unfortunately white people aren't really that nice. I noticed that as a small child.

by Anonymousreply 64March 3, 2020 4:53 AM

R63 Around here in Louisiana you would not be living in a black neighborhood, the black people don't even want to live in a black neighborhood. And yes, right here black neighborhoods are high crime neighborhoods, we have killings EVERY week sometimes multiple murders. Two weeks ago there were three murders in four days and that is pretty normal. We had 59 homicides in 2019 in a city of 200K. I really think you are lying.

by Anonymousreply 65March 3, 2020 4:54 AM

I will add one more difference about the black male walk - they will be met with authorities/police who could escalate a casual stop / conversation into a full on assault, arrest, imprisonment, or even death by firearm. There could be prison time, legal fees, and a record.

The supposed 'white walk' through a black neighborhood will never have this. There could be a theft crime, but then they get to walk away with fewer possessions than before.

Not black people in the wrong place. The penalties are much much worse due to 'law' enforcement.

by Anonymousreply 66March 3, 2020 4:54 AM

Just accept the fact that people prefer to live amongst their own people. Whats the problem with that?

by Anonymousreply 81March 3, 2020 6:14 AM

Just wanted to add my experience. I live in a predominantly white suburb of LA. Lots of young kids in my neighborhood, often selling things like Girl Scout cookies, magazine subscriptions, etc. Two black boys came by one afternoon and went door to door to sell candy bars for their school. They were from the next town over. I purchased a candy bar and went back inside. Literally five minutes later, a cop car is down the street and the two boys are sitting on the sidewalk being questioned by the cops. I know some white person must have called the police on them for no other reason that they don’t “belong here.”

Another time, my husband (a brown man) was coming back from work around midnight (he works in the ER). A cop stops him and says the license plates are missing from the car and threatens to ticket him. Husband is baffled and concerned about the theft. Cop asks to see ID. When he sees the address is just one street away and my husband’s scrubs, his demeanor softens and he lets my husband go. When he gets home, he checks the car, and lo and behold, the license plates were there like always. Again, a case of being stopped while brown/black.

Went to a party this weekend at a community clubhouse. Gated community, predominantly white. Parking lot was full so I parked at the curbside, along with a bunch of other people who were doing the same. White frau comes by and tells only me (the only brown person visible) that it’s against the rules to park curbside on the street and I have to park elsewhere. There is no signage indicating no parking, but I got the distinct feeling she felt like she could boss me around because I was brown.

So the black walk thing? I totally get it.

by Anonymousreply 82March 3, 2020 6:39 AM

I know some white person must have called the police on them for no other reason that they don’t “belong here.”

You can't just sell things door to door. Especially things to eat. The cops had every right to check to see if the kids were authorized.

And so you just left? Or did you ask why others were allowed to park curbside?

And all these blacks refused to vote for Pete because he was gay.

The problem is the OP's person sees himself as a victim. He is perfectly happy to blame others for his lack of performance.

He needs to hear Ann Romano's "wall speech."

Of course it's so much easier to sit back and play the professional victim.

As Vera says "They won't change because they don't want to change. It's easier to blame everyone else and accept life as unfair to them."

by Anonymousreply 88March 3, 2020 7:00 AM

"And all these blacks refused to vote for Pete because he was gay."

I've never realised how frequently (presumably) white people pluralize 'black' - as if they're referring to non-human or inanimate objects. Fascinating.

I wonder if it's deliberate.

And, r88 do you have any evidence to support such an incendiary claim? And it's was certainly mostly white people that voted a homophobic, racist and misogynist as president.

"They won't change because they don't want to change. It's easier to blame everyone else and accept life as unfair to them."

This is a lot white men today; who you fooling?

From the NYTs:

Previous research suggests some reasons there may be a large income gap between black and white men, but not between women, even though women of color face both sexism and racism.

Other studies show that boys, across races, are more sensitive than girls to disadvantages like growing up in poverty or facing discrimination. While black women also face negative effects of racism, black men often experience racial discrimination differently. As early as preschool, they are more likely to be disciplined in school. They are pulled over or detained and searched by police officers more often.

“It’s not just being black but being male that has been hyper-stereotyped in this negative way, in which we’ve made black men scary, intimidating, with a propensity toward violence,” said Noelle Hurd, a psychology professor at the University of Virginia.

She said this racist stereotype particularly hurts black men economically, now that service-sector jobs, requiring interaction with customers, have replaced the manufacturing jobs that previously employed men with less education.

R91, stop addressing me. I don’t want you to answer me. I am smarter than you, better educated than you, and am not into your presentation of facts, without comprehensive history and analysis accompanying it.

Go fuck of. I’m sick of your repeated engagement with me. Do you realize that I do not even associate with people such as yourself, in my day to day life?

I have standards, r91. I fix things for myself, by myself, and if not, pay for the fix.

I don’t need you “fixed that for you”. You’ve fixed ZERO for me, so don’t fool yourself into believing otherwise, for rest assured, I have NOT.

I'm originally from St. Louis. Count me in as another person who believes R63 is completely full of shit.

Try walking your lily-white, faggy self through North County or East StL, and then come back and tell us all about your experience.

by Anonymousreply 97March 3, 2020 7:40 AM

R92. Men worldwide and throughout history commit the vast majority of violent crimes. They are 'in general' more predisposed to aggressiveness because of testosterone. Of course they are disciplined more. It takes a a much stronger hand to tame and civilize them to live in polite society.

There are idiot Blacks and idiot Whites....just learn to love and live in peace.

by Anonymousreply 100March 3, 2020 8:44 AM

Sad that some of you cherry-pick examples of high-crime neighborhoods that happen to be mostly black and then ASSUME that means all black neighborhoods have similarly high crime rates. It just isn’t true. I’m R63; I was telling the truth. The black neighborhood I live in bears no resemblance to the ones you’re describing in Louisiana, Illinois and elsewhere.

by Anonymousreply 101March 3, 2020 9:03 AM

Could be me - I moved from the northeast to Georgia. My spouse is black I'm white. He used to complain he felt like a speck of pepper in a sea of salt. Now its the inverse I'm a speck of salt and fine with it.

by Anonymousreply 102March 3, 2020 9:48 AM

R102, you are a perfect example of someone, even with a black spouse can still say questionable things regarding race.

Darling, a black experience isn't just having a black dick in you for however many years.

All of my neighbors who have Ring doorbells are black.

by Anonymousreply 104March 3, 2020 10:53 AM

Yes, I'm sure you know every neighbor who has a Ring doorbell. That makes total sense and doesn't sound made up AT ALL.
I was wondering if anyone was going to point out the [R50] that Africans were enslaved and sold to whites by OTHER AFRICANS

Oh, well, then slavery was okay then. You should ask your Daddy Trump to bring it back, since it had nothing to do with white people or racism or anything.

by Anonymousreply 106March 3, 2020 11:06 AM

R106 nice strawman argument, clown.

by Anonymousreply 107March 3, 2020 11:17 AM

"Men worldwide and throughout history commit the vast majority of violent crimes."

Socio-economic circumstances is a more salient antecedent to help explain the preponderance of violent crime in a given social group.

" They are 'in general' more predisposed to aggressiveness because of testosterone."

Excuse me?! Most men are not violent and don't commit violent crimes. It is not in the body of individuals we'll find any answers.
I wonder if it's deliberate.

Of course it’s deliberate. When you’re trying to pluralize something that is. Gays, blacks, Asians, lesbians, etc. etc.

by Anonymousreply 110March 3, 2020 12:02 PM
And all these blacks refused to vote for Pete because he was gay.

I don't think that's true. I saw a poll posted somewhere (don't remember where) that showed most African americans didn't vote for Buttigieg because they didn't know much about him as a candidate. Among those who did know of him, he had a very high approval rating. I think some white gays tend to use black people as a scapegoat for the homophobia in this country. Even if there are black people who are against gay rights and/or are religiously conservative, the difference is they generally will not vote for far-right politicians in an attempt to preserve "traditional values" (unlike white conservatives who will). Black Americans know what their priorities are.

Black people have no interest in Pete because he hasn’t tried letting them get to know him. He is cold and prudish toward the black community. On top of that, he has had black people speak out against him, and how he mistreats the black people that work for him.

It has nothing to do with him being gay, it has to do with the gay White mans treatment of black people.

PS the majority of whites aren’t voting for him either. So....

by Anonymousreply 124March 3, 2020 9:29 PM

And yet white on black violence is virtually non existent, especially when compared to black on white violence

Despite only being 13% of the population

by Anonymousreply 125March 3, 2020 9:36 PM

Its the "Black lives matter" thing that gets me as in London 90% of killings are Black on Black.

by Anonymousreply 126March 3, 2020 9:41 PM

I did political canvassing as a field organizer for a 2018 race. The area was predominantly white. The wealthier the area the more likely it would be for me to be stopped by the police. I can use this as an example because I knew the demographics by heart (duh, it was my job) and I’d send my white interns and volunteers to neighboring streets. Outside of one instance in a year and a half, my white volunteers and interns were never stopped stop by the police or questioned. I was stopped every other week by the cops answered 9-11 calls from residents.

For those that don’t know, canvassing is when you knock on doors to tell voters about your candidate. Apparently, I looked like a threat. I also had to contend with people that aren’t used to checking their doors giving me shocked look once their realized that a black man was at their doorstep. Then they’d correct themselves and as I went into my spiel. But I noticed that half second flash of shock.

Every day there was some harassment or micro-aggression from voters that didn’t match the experiences my white counterparts had when we would do our debriefs. I remember slipping on ice outside of a voters door after I handed them the campaign literature. They watched from the window as I withered in pain from twisting my ankle, I believe most people aren’t that hateful.

I kept going because I believed in my candidate (who won!), I believed that my ancestors had fought to give me the right to walk in any neighborhood I’d like in America, and I believe in the democratic process of directly asking people for their vote.

Funny enough, both of my parents have white collar jobs, so I grew up in very similar neighborhoods. But no matter what I wore, jeans, khakis, button up shirt, polos, t-shirts, I was still profiled. I made sure to memorize the state and township’s canvassing laws because the cops would stop me.

It’s embarrassing when two cop cars stop you on a busy suburban street. They will usually have a hand on their gun holster and approach in a flanking position. Even though they were just doing their job and kindly let me proceed with my work, it made me so damn angry. So black walks exist. The cops are usually just doing their jobs.

On the brighter side, every single day there would be a voter that would show me kindness and compassion. Maybe they let me into their home on a hot, snowy, or rainy day or just thank me for the work. You take the good with the bad and show people that their first impressions aren’t right. Never stop fighting, think about the Civil Rights Movement and keep on marching down any street you’d like with your head held high.

by Anonymousreply 127March 3, 2020 9:53 PM

Interesting story, r127. Very interesting.

Thanks for sharing.

While we’re known for snark here, please know I’m sincere in this post.

by Anonymousreply 128March 3, 2020 9:58 PM

I agree. R127. Well said. In the midst of it we sometimes forget that there's always some good with the bad.

by Anonymousreply 129March 3, 2020 10:03 PM
But no matter what I wore, jeans, khakis, button up shirt, polos, t-shirts, I was still profiled.

That's depressing. I tend to judge people on how they dress and how they speak as those are the best indicators of someone who is mentally unfit or deteriorating, but the actual race or ethnicity of the person is irrelevant to me. Perhaps it's because I grew up in a city with lots of diversity. However, I do feel alienated when I come across people who speak a different language but that has much to do with me feeling different than judging them for their speech. I can empathize with what you're going through but I can't say I understand why people act that way since its so divorced from my own perception. It's clearly an indication that many people who are successful in life or business don't deserve to be.

by Anonymousreply 130March 3, 2020 11:10 PM

R127 I was mugged 3 times in my life. NYC, 1970s. The only time I have ever experienced violent physical aggression.

All three times the aggressors were young black men. It leaves a mark.

Just as it would for you if you experienced the same physical violence from young white men. (And I would not criticize you for what you feel).

If in my neighborhood, you showed up at my door, I'd be on guard until I could understand who you are and why you're there.

Done that, I'd probably also invite you in. Offer you a cup of coffee and shoot the breeze with you for a while.

by Anonymousreply 131March 3, 2020 11:30 PM

Nice story R127, but WTF do you think you "have a right" to trespass on private property to ring doorbells? I don't answer my door to anyone I don't know.

All that effort is wasted anyway. It has zero impact.

by Anonymousreply 132March 4, 2020 8:21 AM

R132 state’s laws specifically grant me the right since it’s not considered trespassing if there is easy public access to the door. Now, if I was climbing fences and running bast guards at the front of a subdivision then it would be a different story. But where I live political canvassing is a legal and considered a public good codified into the law. Please have several seats.

Thank you, r128 & r129.

by Anonymousreply 133March 4, 2020 5:31 PM

r3 the only time that happens is either the white guys is buying drugs or white people are gentrifying their neighborhood.

White folks don't usually want to be in Black spaces unless there is something in it for them being there.
