Newsom is the epitome of a "coastal elite" who flyover Americans despise and wouldn't vote for if their lives depended on it. He would never even get the nomination.

I'm sure he will try after Trump's second term but doubt he can go far....but could be mistaken.

Considering the current state of California, especially the mismanagement of homelessness and of Prop 47, Newsom running against Trump would be a disaster.

I love Gavin for several reasons, but I agree with the critics above about his appeal nationwide. Also he was once married to Donald Jr.’s current girlfriend, which is weird on at least a few levels.

I bet if Hillary had chosen him as her running mate in 2016 instead of that dim haircut Tim Caine, we would have had an entirely different outcome.
