The Yahoo and BBC articles illustrate what passes for news journalism in this day and age. Everything has to be rush uploaded so there is no time for exposition and elaboration. So what you get are brief one sentence paragraphs giving you a laundry list of facts and quotations, but ultimately, sparce on details.

Both articles state that the victim was a friend. The victim was in his 40s, his murderers are in their 20s. The victim also recently moved into the building. So, was the victim actually a friend, or someone that they targeted to use for their scam? Was victim in on the scam and snitched? How did the authorities nab the perpetrators? So many questions.

Fucking hell, how awful.
