More proof Bloomberg is really a REPUG? Clint Eastwood supporting him for 2020
Clint Eastwood Ditches Donald Trump for Mike Bloomberg in 2020 Election
Longtime Republican Clint Eastwood is pulling support from Donald Trump in the 2020 election. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, the actor-director signaled that he thinks a different candidate would be the better choice.
“The best thing we could do is just get Mike Bloomberg in there,” he said.
After endorsing Mitt Romney and famously delivering a speech at the 2012 Republican National Convention to an empty chair that represented Barack Obama, Eastwood never officially backed Trump. In a 2016 interview, he expressed displeasure with Trump and Hillary Clinton, saying there’s “much funny business on both sides of the aisle.”
He praised Trump at the time because he was “onto something” and “secretly everybody’s getting tired of political correctness, kissing up.”
“We’re really in a p—y generation. Everybody’s walking on eggshells. We see people accusing people of being racist and all kinds of stuff. When I grew up, those things weren’t called racist,” he said.
Now, he’s changed his tune a bit on Trump.

If the Democrats are to win, they'll need a bunch of Independents, Undecideds and Never Trumpers. There's not enough pink pussy-hatted #Me2 voters to beat Trump.
Imagine what candidate that would be and support them. Or else.

More like proof that Clint Eastwood isn’t the complete piece of shit we thought him to be. He might be right-leaning but he’s not a Deplorable.

Oh please r3. He backed up Trump for 4 years. He is a piece of shit.

Who are these people whose lives are so negatively impacted by PC culture? Treating others with respect and as equals is not a burden or difficult inconvenience.

Technically there's a Democrat in office now. The idea of a former Dem turned Rep vs. former Rep turned Dem is where we almost are. We've turned into the National Lampoon, although from what I can tell Bernie will get the nomination.
Not to mention the parties have flip-flopped twice in the 20th century. Seems like the timing we're in for another turn.

Does this mean Clint is going to have a televised conversation with an empty booster seat?

R5, they think not being able to call people chink/spic/raghead/nigger/fag, is the end of civility and freedom.
In the case of some gays who whine about pc culture, they’re fine with those derogatory words...just not the last one.

I have no issues with Bloomie because independents and never Trumpers will support him. Plus, he will get some fence sitters and may even peel away some of Trump's support. Plus the man has a single goal, get rid of Trump. I'm not sure why democrats don't seem to care about that anymore.

I'm still voting Pete in the primary, but make no mistake if Democrats want to guarantee a win and wrap this thing up quickly and neatly it's Bloomie or Biden. End of story. And no, the Base will not stay at home. Twitter IS NOT the base. MSNBC and CNN Pundits ARE NOT the base.

Eastwood was hawt when young. Perhaps a kept man at one point. He also supported gay marriage.

There is nothing incompetent about Donald Trump, R19. And he’s getting plenty accomplished; they just don’t talk much about it on cable news.

Mitch McConnell is competent and accomplishing judges not Trump. That is not going to change if Dems don’t take the Senate.

"I'm not sure why democrats don't seem to care about that anymore."
Because the "progressive" wing of the party is insisting that somebody like Bernie can win the election, the "progressive" wing being the squeaky wheel that gets all the press coverage grease. The Bernie Bolsheviks, led by AOC and her buddies, like all radicals, is convinced their cause is right and just and thus, quite fanatical. But as those of us with any real life experience know, fanaticism and reality are two different animals.
If the faux progressives & Bernie somehow manage to get the nomination, they'll have their asses handed to them on a platter by Trump and the Republicans. Then, come November 4th, "progressives" will be blaming everybody but themselves for being so fucking stupid.

Trump has turned over governing to Senate republicans. Trump is just making money and Tweeting and doesn't give two shits about the country or being President. The man's head is still focused on ratings and Hollywood.

R19 There is only one Billionaire running, the con-man in chief doesn't have a quarter of the liquidity of Bloomie.
They have similarities, but one ran business after business including Casinos into the ground, the others company is still in his name, hasnt had to resort to selling their RTMs to China, or filed multiple bankruptcies.

Yes, R9, Clint insists on staying alive. Frustratingly alive. He's been senile for decades and his opinions are useless.

Why do so many of you have faith that Bloomberg can win? The base hates him and he's not very convincing or inspiring. TV ads are not enough for him to win

Here's something sort of amusing. Breitbart is a right-wing site that posts news stories and readers' comments below the stories.
A typical interesting story will get about 2,000 to 8,000 replies.
The story of Eastwood supporting Bloomberg has gotten (so far) 33,000+ replies. Typical comment-
