Even her fans have to admit Rosie O'Donnell has done some really nutty things in her life. What was the nuttiest?
The nuttiest thing Rosie O'Donnell has ever done

Lying publicly that she had told the cancer survivor "liars get cancer" was the most insane, not only because it was easily disproved, but because the big trauma of her life is her mother dying of cancer. So by publicly lying, she was basically (by her own logic) trying to get cancer.
I would bet she spent ten years on the analysts's couch trying to figure out what that must have meant.

I still like her no matter what
by Anonymous | reply 2 | February 21, 2020 4:38 AM |
R2 - I'm with you.
I think a lot of what she has said has been blown out of proportion. Because she speaks unapologetically, she gets skewered.
She's done a lot more for gays and lesbians as well as many other people than any of us could dream to do.

Being cast as Betty Rubble in the live action Flintstones movie for only one reason. She could do the character's laugh.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | February 21, 2020 4:48 AM |
I find it nutty that Rosie Magazine existed at all.

What about that dominatrix outfit from Exit to Eden?

Remember that one movie where they got cute and thin little Christina Ricci to play a young version of her LOL

All of the above.

[quote]Imitated newscasters in China by saying "ching chong ching chong"
Oh please, OP. Comedians in the 1960s and earlier did that kind of joke all the time. She must have watched reruns of old late night talk shows or variety shows and imitated what she saw. Maybe she should have known that that kind of thing is not okay nowadays but still it's just a lapse of judgement. It wasn't done out of malice.
I don't care what you say, OP. She is still an amazing talent. Why do you think her talk show was such a huge success and it tanked when Caroline Rhea took over?

[quote]Being cast as Betty Rubble in the live action Flintstones movie for only one reason. She could do the character's laugh.
Yes, because that role required so much more. It was a cartoon character Meryl wasn't exactly pushing people out of the way for.
[quote] I think we have a winner.
You do realize that Rosie was portraying a real life person don't you? And that she met her and spent time with her. The film was directed by Oscar winner Anjelica Huston and Rosie played her as she is. So you are making fun of a handicapped person R11?
by Anonymous | reply 13 | February 21, 2020 8:14 AM |
Rosie, calm down. It wasn't a good idea to have Google alert you every time somebody writes your name on a message board. You're just torturing yourself, why not go and have a nice cup of Sleepytime tea and put your feet up. Self-care is important, Ro.

She's just not emotionally stable, and she's a liar when it suits her immediate needs. And yet she is furious all the time because she thinks [italic]other[/italic] people are lying to [italic]her.[/italic]
I would be so interested to hear a psychotherapist's diagnosis of her--I would guess Borderline Personality Disorder.

A friend stagedoored Raul Esparza at Company and asked him if Rosie had been to see it yet.
Raul laughed and said "No, Rosie's not a Sondheim fan".

Rosie is a kind and generous person with sum faults.
PS. a lesbian can have a crush on Tom Cruise.
She's probably had sex with 1 guy or 2 also.
U never know.

This isn’t nutty behaviour but an example of classlessness.
I watched her from the balcony at an Annie Lennox concert as she videotaped the whole performance from front row center.
As we all exited and I knew she was in earshot I spoke loud enough for her to hear just what I thought of that.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | February 22, 2020 12:15 AM |
Does she still troll Trump on Twitter?
She's one of the few who always successfully managed to get under his skin.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | February 22, 2020 12:16 AM |
I’m friends with one of her siblings, and she has shut out most of her family.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | February 22, 2020 12:20 AM |
Wacky Rosie is fun but she's best medicated. Fully agree with R25 about tRump. And good for her for her unwavering anti-gun stance.

Her poetry. This crazy cunt and that monster DT deserve each other

I was in the audience for MARTHA, her Halloween show with Rosie. Rosie was “on” and dressed like Queen Elizabeth or something such bullshit....when the cameras weren’t rolling, her face TOTALLY changed into the most depressed, saddest woman on earth. We all got a copy of her book “celebrity detox” but I’ve yet to read it I should get on that...ITS BEEN 13 YEARS!! 😂

R32 actually that post was written in such a way as to emulate Rosie’s online writing style. not sure if it was an intentional red herring to make us think it was her? haha
I always liked Rosie and I wish she was still a public figure. I think it’s because I was a little kid during her 90s heyday and she was so omnipresent at all the Nickelodeon/Sesame Street stuff pitched at that age group at the time. I remember watching her show to see what JK Rowling looked like. Rosie was cute asking her for the Mrs Weasley role in the movies.

I always regret all lgbt rights legislation and rulings don't have a carve out in them excluding Rosie. (Am I a bad person for this? Is this a bad thing to wish for?)
