Lonely in winter

Does anyone else feel the most lonely in winter?

by Anonymousreply 47March 18, 2020 6:17 PM

I'm a little lonesome this week, OP. I don't think it's about winter, though.

by Anonymousreply 1February 19, 2020 10:45 PM

Melancholy

by Anonymousreply 2February 19, 2020 10:46 PM

If anything, summer makes me sad.

by Anonymousreply 3February 19, 2020 10:46 PM

No, I feel the saddest in spring.

by Anonymousreply 4February 19, 2020 10:48 PM

Well if anyone wants to talk let me know.

I can give you my kik

by Anonymousreply 5February 19, 2020 10:49 PM

[quote]No, I feel the saddest in spring.

I’m right there with you. Everything looks ugly in the spring with just buds on the trees and it’s always humid and sticky outside. Plus it starts getting noisy outside again.

by Anonymousreply 6February 19, 2020 10:51 PM

Well if anyone wants to kik me, my kik is tomboy2991

I’m not a creep, just going through some stuff and want a non judgmental ear

by Anonymousreply 7February 19, 2020 10:57 PM

i feel fat in Winter, mostly.

by Anonymousreply 8February 19, 2020 10:59 PM

When you're lonely in your nightmare, let me in

by Anonymousreply 9February 19, 2020 11:01 PM

Why do you feel lonely?

For me, winter is a reflection and I just feel I could have done things differently in my life.

by Anonymousreply 10February 19, 2020 11:31 PM

We don't even have winter in England anymore so it's not a problem for me.

by Anonymousreply 11February 19, 2020 11:32 PM

I'm never lonely, I have you guys.

by Anonymousreply 12February 19, 2020 11:33 PM

I am weird I guess, I just never get lonely even though I am alone 99% of the time. I also never get bored or horny. Like I said I am weird.

by Anonymousreply 13February 19, 2020 11:34 PM

Winter is the best time for me. I feel like I'm hibernating and have no responsibility except to myself. I love it. And I live in a cold and snowy climate so the weather adds to the charm. I agree with those who dislike spring. The windows are open, outside noise comes inside. The days are longer -- I like it dark. So, no, I'm not lonely in winter although I do wish I had someone to cuddle with under the blankets. That would be heaven.

by Anonymousreply 14February 19, 2020 11:35 PM

😢 Yes, my dearest Collinboy .............. I do.

Like I said, if anyone needs to talk it out let me know.

I’m feeling lonely too and want to talk with someone

by Anonymousreply 17February 19, 2020 11:40 PM

R12 YES, we have each other. Thanks for pointing that out...

by Anonymousreply 18February 19, 2020 11:41 PM

A sugardaddy would help make the loneline$$ more tolerable

by Anonymousreply 19February 19, 2020 11:42 PM

Colin -- I'd call you but I'm too old to know what that kik thing is about. I just got on Facebook a week ago. How pitiful is that? So I doubt you'd really want me to be a buddy....

by Anonymousreply 20February 19, 2020 11:42 PM

How much per minute, Collin?

by Anonymousreply 21February 19, 2020 11:45 PM

I’m not a prostitute and just wanted to talk to someone.

by Anonymousreply 22February 20, 2020 12:09 AM

This week has been really really hard actually.

by Anonymousreply 23February 20, 2020 12:10 AM

😺 I have a cat named Buddy.

by Anonymousreply 24February 20, 2020 12:13 AM

The OP thinks he is Sheena Easton channeling Janis Ian

Oh, I'm sorry, Collin. I thought you were an escort.

by Anonymousreply 27February 20, 2020 12:27 AM

I'm liking winter more and more...summer depresses me. It's fucking hot and humid. It looks nice but it is just a feint.

by Anonymousreply 28February 20, 2020 12:32 AM

Cabin Fever

Today was a cold, drizzling day.

I do what my two big dogs want. They love to ride for breakfast. Then I bundle more and walk them. After eating, they go out again. Then they settle in their beds on each side of me.

by Anonymousreply 29February 20, 2020 12:36 AM

Not weird, r13.

by Anonymousreply 30February 20, 2020 12:39 AM

R11, I don't think it's the weather that gets me down about winter. It's the short days. I am counting the days until Daylight Saving Time comes back (Sunday, March 8 in the US ... two weeks from this coming Sunday. Hooray!).

Oh, and also - greenery. I can't wait for the trees to green up again. That's another 7 weeks, probably. The trees don't really get nice and green until early or mid-April here.

by Anonymousreply 31February 20, 2020 8:01 AM

Winter is for snuggling in bed with my dog and cat, reading fantasy novels, playing WoW, and listening to WAMC, my local public radio.

by Anonymousreply 32February 20, 2020 1:53 PM

Stop nitpicking on everything and everyone, and learn to accept nothing is perfect, then people will want to stay around you cunts a little bit longer.

by Anonymousreply 33February 20, 2020 2:33 PM

I don't think someone who's had seven sugardaddies is a nitpicker.

by Anonymousreply 34February 20, 2020 2:48 PM

a home health worker told me old and sick people die in the spring. She said spring is when nature comes back to life and it takes "the energy" to do so from everywhere it is available - for example other living entities. So old people loose the last energy necessary and fade and die. I know its hogwash but the world coming back to life could make lonely people feel left out. Not ready for another season.

Autumn and Winter are my favs, Spring is so/so and Summer heat and noise in megapolis make me frustrated. What about loniliness, I've accepted this melancholic part of myself. I can feeling lonely while sitting with friends, or being at home comepletely alone. It's not about season.

by Anonymousreply 37February 20, 2020 3:49 PM

We tend to socialize less in the winter because no one wants to go out

by Anonymousreply 38February 20, 2020 3:58 PM

I completely agree R23. Awful week.

by Anonymousreply 39February 20, 2020 5:26 PM

This winter has been brutal for me in NYC.

Temperature-wise, it has been quite mild. But it's been gray skies day after day after day–especially in the last few weeks.

I just have no motivation to do anything. I have one of those light boxes, but it hasn't helped my mood at all, unlike previous years.

by Anonymousreply 40February 20, 2020 5:32 PM

I don't get lonely, and I don't mind winter, but I go into a funk every year from about mid-November to Christmas. I think it's the early darkness and short days.

by Anonymousreply 41February 20, 2020 5:45 PM

Our relationship to sunlight is more complicated and significant than many people realize. It affects everyone in different ways, all throughout the year.

by Anonymousreply 42February 21, 2020 2:11 AM

I feel loneliest in August. People away on vacation, re-runs on TV, no more blockbuster movies. I'm also a bit of a workaholic, so that doesn't help. It just feels like, where did everybody GO? The funny thing is that of course not one single person in the world has disappeared. It only feels that way.

by Anonymousreply 43February 21, 2020 2:21 AM

R43 its a dreadful month in the N Hemisphere, but Sep is worse, You expect Fall but still get plenty of humid summer like weather. October is my favorite month, however.

by Anonymousreply 44February 21, 2020 2:23 AM

Bump because even though this is totally a troll, I'm curious as to how "Collin" is handling the coronvairus outbreak.

by Anonymousreply 45March 13, 2020 8:25 PM

To answer your banal question OP, no, no one else feels lonely in winter.

by Anonymousreply 46March 13, 2020 8:55 PM

R45 I am scared of coronavirus. I do some freelance modeling and am not able to work, so I have no money right now. You have my contact info if you wanna talk more in depth.
