Since the DL doesn't show the number of people who have responded to a poll, here's a trick to figure it out. You can only use the trick once, before you participate to the poll. After you do respond to the poll, you can never use the trick again. With that said, here's how it goes:
(1) Start with the poll for which you want to compute the number of participants. Do NOT participate yet.
(2) Click on "Show results"
(3) Write down the current percentage, as a number between 0 and 100, for one of the voting options (maybe pick what you would vote for, but do not vote for it yet). Call it p1. For instance if the poll is about your favorite musical instrument, and it lists "piano" as one option, and suppose that option currently polls at 66%, then write down p1=66.
(4) Now reload the question, and go ahead and vote for that option. After that, click to see the results, and write down the new percentage for that option (again as a number between 0 and 100). Call it p2. For instance, if you now read 68%, then write down p2=68.
The number of participants (including you) is given by the following formula:
N=(100-p1) / (p2 - p1)
In my example above it gives N = (100-66) / (68 - 66) = 17.
