CNN: Bernie goes after Bloomberg

Daddy was amazing earlier tonight. Calm, direct, resolute. You have to give it to CNN for trying with the title and screenshot - Crooked News Network, indeed - of the vid, but truth and substance will prevail.

Bernie looks like death.

by Anonymousreply 1February 19, 2020 6:40 AM

R1 You’re not worth it....

by Anonymousreply 2February 19, 2020 2:11 PM

If Bloomberg thinks he’s going to skate on “Stop and Frisk,” he’s got another thing coming. Every candidate, not just Bernie, is coming for him tonight. This man fervently endorsed George W. Bush TWICE. The Supreme Court in its current rightwing form didn’t start with Trump; it was also shaped by Bush’s appointees, who Bloomberg helped get to the bench. And now some Democrats think he can be trusted to put more judges on there? That he can be trusted to select Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s replacement?

Fuck Bloomberg. They better roast his ass tonight.

Bernie's physical stance needs improving. He stands there, stooping slightly, frowning, almost with a scowl on his face, and doesn't really seem to look at the moderator. He looks uncomfortable - this isn't good for someone in the public eye. SMILE Bernie!

by Anonymousreply 4February 19, 2020 2:28 PM

R4 He’s been the same forever and he’s the front runner.

by Anonymousreply 5February 19, 2020 2:39 PM

Bernie’s record has never received this level of scrutiny and probably won’t unless he goes against Trump. He is already struggling in battleground states, even before he is held to the kind of standard everyone else has to answer.

by Anonymousreply 6February 19, 2020 2:49 PM

R6 Riiight.

by Anonymousreply 7February 19, 2020 3:24 PM

"Frankly, I'd rather run against Bloomberg than Bernie Sanders," the president told reporters at the White House. "Because Sanders has real followers, whether you like him or not, whether you agree with him or not. I happen to think it's terrible what he says. But he has followers. Bloomberg's just buying his way in."

Let’s not forget what else was revealed during the impeachment hearings...

That secret recording from 2018 is going to haunt Dump.

I disagree, R4. Part of Bernie's appeal is that he's a mess. He's "authentic" with his old man sloppiness.

by Anonymousreply 10February 19, 2020 3:37 PM

R20 Bingo! He wears his battles for civil and social rights and equality all over his face and body and we love him for it!

by Anonymousreply 11February 19, 2020 3:45 PM

If you can buy the Presidency, what happened to Tom Steyer?

by Anonymousreply 12February 19, 2020 3:51 PM

R12 Too “Climate-y” for the establishment.

by Anonymousreply 13February 19, 2020 3:57 PM

Reddit is coming after Bloomberg as hard as it does for Trump. Interesting.

by Anonymousreply 14February 19, 2020 3:57 PM

This OP = Jessica Lange troll who has daddy-mommy issues.

by Anonymousreply 15February 19, 2020 4:39 PM

Bloomberg has accrued many enemies from both sides of the aisle. It’s stupid the way many surmise that any person who speaks against him must be either a red hat or BernieBro, as if none of the other candidates and their supporters exist.

by Anonymousreply 16February 19, 2020 5:32 PM

Bloomberg and Sanders = both Hard NO votes for most Democrats, especially those in the swing states whose votes matter most.

by Anonymousreply 17February 19, 2020 6:36 PM

R15 Your parents were probably retarded hence the unbelievable you that you are.

Never forget, Bernie is not a Democrat and neither are his spokespeople.

They will try to scare you into supporting him by saying they won’t vote for anyone other than him.

Anyone who deals with constituents like they are in a hostage negotiation does not deserve your support for President.

The only person in this race who’s less of a Democrat is Michael Bloomberg.

by Anonymousreply 20February 19, 2020 7:53 PM

Sanders and Bloomberg = both trash.

by Anonymousreply 21February 19, 2020 11:06 PM

R21 Don’t you dare equate Bernie with that racist, abusive, oligarchical rat.

by Anonymousreply 22February 19, 2020 11:11 PM

The "Bernie is not a Democrat" does not work when the other choice iwas not a Demorat until Octoner 2018. Bloomberg is an opportunist.

by Anonymousreply 23February 19, 2020 11:14 PM

If Bernie gets the nomination --and, unfortunately, I feel like he will-- Dump and the rethuglicans will drop their payload on him. Every shred of dirt they have on him/his family/his campaign and everything they've fabricated about him/his family/his campaign will see the light of day. The spineless media will run with it; the same dumbass voters that couldn't get over Hillary's emails will abstain from voting or support 45*; and we'll all be stuck with Dump, the first whore, and their creepy son for four more years.

by Anonymousreply 24February 19, 2020 11:14 PM

Why do Bernie supporters like R22 keep trying to label people rats? First Pete and now Bloomberg, though I find it particularly noxious when used with Bloomberg for historical reasons.

Maybe the bigger question is why a man, whose extended family were murdered by the Nazis, does not specifically denounce the same dehumanizing language when used against his opponents. Other Jewish writers, thinkers, and politicians see the connection, why doesn’t he?

R24 Honey, THERE IS NO MORE DIRT hence the panic setting in within the establishment. They’ve milked every shriveled tit of oppo they have on Bernie.

He’s clean.

by Anonymousreply 26February 19, 2020 11:31 PM

R26, there are stories coming out everyday about Bernie and his clown car of advisors. This one just today tells how Bernie wanted to primary Obama in 2012 and had to be restrained by Harry Reid.

That should go over like fucking gang-busters with the bulk of the Democratic Party, of which Sanders is certainly not a member.

R27 IF that’s true, AND? Is this the oppo dump you speak of?

Care to go back to 2008 to see who was blocking the US from finally having the first black president?

by Anonymousreply 28February 19, 2020 11:51 PM

^Indeed, R28. Don't worry too much about Tony's blathering.

by Anonymousreply 29February 20, 2020 12:13 AM
