Bernie Sanders is not electable

"Very few people see Bernie as electable."

by Anonymousreply 91February 19, 2020 5:09 AM

I agree 100%.

He's too old, he's too extreme, he's too grumpy, he doesn't get along with anyone, and he is completely ineffective when it comes to working well with others.

ABB times two.

Anyone But Bernie and Anyone But Bloomberg.

by Anonymousreply 1February 16, 2020 12:59 AM

Bloomberg is far more electable. That's all that matters.

by Anonymousreply 2February 16, 2020 1:01 AM

NH and Iowa seem to think he is.

by Anonymousreply 3February 16, 2020 1:23 AM

Democrats in those states think he is, R3. What about on-the-fence voters in swing states?

by Anonymousreply 4February 16, 2020 1:25 AM

He's not electable because there's no place on the ballot to vote for him!

by Anonymousreply 5February 16, 2020 1:27 AM

Trump is an extreme to the right and Bernie is the overcorrection to the left. Bernie's not bad but simply too dramatically different from what we currently have.

He's good at the ideology but not at the practical application of his ideas. Hillary was much better than that but not a great speaker.

by Anonymousreply 6February 16, 2020 1:28 AM

In Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Florida, Ohio, Minnesota? Not gonna happen. Sanders has no chance.

by Anonymousreply 7February 16, 2020 1:29 AM

Bernie Bros will alienate everyone, and he will lose bigly.

by Anonymousreply 8February 16, 2020 1:30 AM

[quote]He's too old, he's too extreme, he's too grumpy, he doesn't get along with anyone, and he is completely ineffective when it comes to working well with others.

On other words, Donald Trump has met his match.

by Anonymousreply 9February 16, 2020 1:31 AM

Yup. Too far to the left. If Sanders is the Democratic nominee, Trump wins.

by Anonymousreply 10February 16, 2020 1:33 AM

He's a socialist. That alone will doom him. That alone will give Trump enough ammunition to make people scared to death of him.

by Anonymousreply 11February 16, 2020 1:33 AM

He,'s more electable than Blopmberg. Blopmberg is a calculated, evil Plutocrat that hates everyday people.

Bernie or bust.

by Anonymousreply 12February 16, 2020 1:37 AM

[quote] Bernie or bust.

What a strange thing to say, R12.

You act as though they are the ONLY two candidates in the race.

Oh, wait. They're the only two JEWISH candidates in the race.

I get it now.

I'll bet that if the final two standing were Biden or Warren, you'd probably stay home and not vote. Wouldn't you?

by Anonymousreply 13February 16, 2020 1:43 AM

I don't consider Bernie a leftist of ANY stripe!

He's a self-professed Communist he likes fiat and decrees rather than legislation, which he's never taken the time or effort to figure out. When pressed on the details and mechanisms of change he ALWAYS reverts to "We're gunna have a REVOLUTION!" Really? How does that NOT sound like an autocracy with him as its leader making all decisions unilaterally?

by Anonymousreply 14February 16, 2020 1:44 AM

R7 leave us out of it. MN is the only state that didn't vote Reagan.

by Anonymousreply 15February 16, 2020 1:45 AM

Will he and Lady Jane sell one of their properties to keep funding the campaign?

by Anonymousreply 16February 16, 2020 1:47 AM

Word is out among Republicans. I have a cousin who's active with a state in the Midwest, and he said that the Republicans are all going to vote in the Democratic Primary and they're voting Bernie. They want him to be the nominee. They figure they can hold on to the Senate and take a few statehouses and maybe even gain in the House.

by Anonymousreply 17February 16, 2020 1:51 AM

R13, Bloomberg is using 400 million to drown other moderates out in this race. It obviously will come down to Bloomberg vs Bernie.

by Anonymousreply 18February 16, 2020 2:00 AM

We need a full, honest report on his health. Somebody said on another thread that the stent he got was because he was deemed to frail for a bypass. If he is just being kept a live a little longer- we need to know that.

If he won't cooperate with that he can just drop out.

by Anonymousreply 19February 16, 2020 2:01 AM

[quote]NH and Iowa seem to think he is.

Lily white states. Isn't it interesting that they are the only places he can do well in. For a so called liberal "man of all people", that's not good.

R17 Of course Republicans are pushing for him to be the nominee. Someone posted an article on Democratic Underground saying Repubs have a huge file on stuff that they're planning to use against him. Supposedly videos of him praising Communism and Castro. Nothing would surprise me.

by Anonymousreply 20February 16, 2020 2:02 AM

I hate hate hate Bloomberg. But I hate Trump being reelected more. If Bloomberg can buy the election, fine. It's come to that. Sanders will hand Trump his second term on a plate.

by Anonymousreply 21February 16, 2020 2:04 AM

The JEREMY Corbyn of North America

by Anonymousreply 22February 16, 2020 2:05 AM

SO SAYS YAHOO SO IT MUST BE BRILLIANT

by Anonymousreply 23February 16, 2020 2:16 AM

Is that all you got, R23? It's not just Yahoo that says it, fool.

by Anonymousreply 24February 16, 2020 2:17 AM

Imagine if Trump lost the election. It would be such a blow to his ego, he would divorce Melanie immediately and find himself a sexy 25 year old golddigger to make himself feel better.

by Anonymousreply 25February 16, 2020 2:38 AM

[quote] Imagine if Trump lost the election. It would be such a blow to his ego, he would divorce Melanie immediately and find himself a sexy 25 year old golddigger

What for?

He already has his human cum dumpster Hope Hicks, at his "disposal." No pun intended.

I have a feeling that she's going to be the 4th Mrs. Trump.

by Anonymousreply 26February 16, 2020 2:59 AM

R25, if he loses to Bloomberg, his dignity will remain and he will spout conspiracy theories about Bloomberg buying the election (and he would be right). And the corruption of it all.

His supporters will eat it up.

by Anonymousreply 27February 16, 2020 4:21 AM

Fuck him and his supporters, R27.

by Anonymousreply 28February 16, 2020 4:26 AM

Surely The Democrats will not allow that old fool Sanders and his crazed supporters lead them down to a path of political suicide.

Cut him and his idiot fanbase loose.

You may as well because you aint gonna win with them.

by Anonymousreply 29February 16, 2020 4:40 AM

And what political persuasion are you, R29?

by Anonymousreply 30February 16, 2020 4:42 AM

The mainstream media and the establishment Dems are desperate to stop Sanders. Meanwhile, Team Trump is intimidated by Sanders... they would much prefer to run against a swamp creature like Joe Biden.

by Anonymousreply 31February 16, 2020 4:43 AM

Does everyone have a plan on how they're going to walk back their comments when Sanders gets the nomination and he's the only game in town?

by Anonymousreply 32February 16, 2020 4:43 AM

I'm not walking back anything, R32. I think he could be, and I 100% believe he will lose to Trump.

by Anonymousreply 33February 16, 2020 4:44 AM

Thank goodness another Anti Bernie Sanders thread. I haven't seen one since 10:00 a m.

by Anonymousreply 34February 16, 2020 4:46 AM

R32 confuses the Democratic candidate with the winner of the 2020 election.

by Anonymousreply 35February 16, 2020 4:46 AM

Then why are they voting for him?

by Anonymousreply 36February 16, 2020 4:48 AM

The Dems have no direction, no suitable candidates. Delusion is far preferred to admission.

by Anonymousreply 37February 16, 2020 4:48 AM

Who is voting for who, R36? Be clear.

by Anonymousreply 38February 16, 2020 4:51 AM

LOL, R32. He won't beat Trump, so I won't have to walk anything back. You Bros are repellant, and make Sanders seem even worse than he is.

by Anonymousreply 39February 16, 2020 4:51 AM

"You Bros are repellant"

Oh, dear, R39.

by Anonymousreply 40February 16, 2020 4:53 AM

If he's the nominee, that's it. Four more years of Trump. Trump will win easily. EASILY.

by Anonymousreply 41February 16, 2020 5:42 AM

R41 is completely right.

by Anonymousreply 42February 16, 2020 5:43 AM

I look forward to voting the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination to Bernie Sanders.

As I did in 2016.

by Anonymousreply 43February 16, 2020 6:04 AM

So you must look forward to seeing Trump win twice, R43.

by Anonymousreply 44February 16, 2020 6:06 AM

So, R43, which swing states do you see voting for socialist Sanders? Pennsylvania, Florida, Ohio, Wisconsin...?

by Anonymousreply 45February 16, 2020 6:08 AM

I'd like an answer, R43.

by Anonymousreply 46February 16, 2020 6:12 AM

Typical Bernie Sanders supporter at R43. Long on self-righteousness, short on reality.

by Anonymousreply 47February 16, 2020 6:16 AM

[quote] Then why are they voting for him?

Have you been paying attention, R36?

The first two Primaries have been extremely close, without a clear winner. The votes have been pretty much evenly divided between Bernie and Pete. Even so, the others aren't that far behind.

What does this say? That Democrats don't have a clear candidate in mind, and we all want different things, and have different agendas.

This one is going to go all the way to the last Primary, and it could be an ugly fight.

So yeah, don't mistake Bernie's lead as an overwhelming majority. He's far from it.

by Anonymousreply 48February 16, 2020 6:53 AM

NICE TRY, BORIS.

The majority of American voters and battleground states in polls is “very few people.” Whatever. I encourage you to stay in your Conservative Bubble.

Trump is too outrageous, he’s FIRED. Sanders is up 6% in Ohio, above the statistical margin of error, unlike Hillary.

by Anonymousreply 49February 16, 2020 7:10 AM

R12. I find “everyday” people like you tedious and inconsequential. Does that mean Bloomberg is my candidate? When did the people who can’t make it start to believe it was everyone’s issue but their own?

by Anonymousreply 50February 16, 2020 7:31 AM

R12 And, the day after Bernie is elected, only days before he cancels the student debt YOU TOOK OUT willingly, how will you add more value to the world? As a result of this monumental election, how will YOU be different? You won’t. Same loser fish you’ve always been, only with a socialist bringing down our country. Fuck. Off.

by Anonymousreply 51February 16, 2020 7:36 AM

I’m voting for Doomberg and Buttitsagig!

[quote]The JEREMY Corbyn of North America

Kind if an ironic thing to say given Corbyn loathing Jewish people in general.

Said it before and I'll say it again, I will vote for whoever wins the Democratic nom, no matter what because I am very afraid and I am justified in my fear. I am amazed at how often I read childish statements like, well, if [fill in the blank] wins the nom I am staying home then!

You must not be aware of just how bad things are now and how much worse they are going to get then.

by Anonymousreply 53February 16, 2020 10:17 AM

His saggy old balls will be too hard on his dusty knees for him to keep up, pete all the way baby!

How on earth is that childish? I would love to know.

by Anonymousreply 56February 16, 2020 10:47 AM

Bernie will take the whole Democratic Party down with him. The Democrats will lose everything including the supreme court. Way too risky.

by Anonymousreply 57February 16, 2020 10:53 AM

[quote]I'll bet that if the final two standing were Biden or Warren, you'd probably stay home and not vote. Wouldn't you?

Why would I vote for anyone not Daddy Bernie? Fuck that! And fuck you!

by Anonymousreply 58February 16, 2020 11:08 AM

Daddy bernie? Barf. That ancient gass bag is way past the daddy or grandpa label.

by Anonymousreply 59February 16, 2020 11:10 AM

Fuck You! Don’t you disparage Daddy like that! 🖕🏻

by Anonymousreply 60February 16, 2020 11:16 AM

I want Bernie in my mussy.

by Anonymousreply 61February 16, 2020 11:17 AM

I want Bernie to save those that are getting what’s coming to them....

Bernie is so nice and forgiving, like Jesus...

If Sanders had to stand on his own decrepit feet, as a communist socialist instead of changing parties every four years for a short period of time, to become a faux Democrat and LEECH money, resources and VOTES from the Democratic party, he would be where he deserves, with no chance.

He's a disgusting opportunist and a shit politician who hasn't managed to do anything of note but run his mouth for thirty damn years. His supporters refuse to look up his record, ignore facts and bully and harass those who realize the truth about him.

Sound familiar?

by Anonymousreply 63February 16, 2020 2:18 PM

I will reluctantly vote for Bernie in the general if he gets the nomination. R63 is absolutely right about the old carpet-bagger, but I will under no circumstances vote for the Dump. I have voted blue in every election since I turned 18, and even Bernie won't change that. He is absolutely my last choice of the leading candidates, however.

by Anonymousreply 64February 16, 2020 2:29 PM

[quote] Kind if an ironic thing to say given Corbyn loathing Jewish people in general.

So does Bernard and his ilk.

Oh, dear.

by Anonymousreply 66February 16, 2020 2:30 PM

78 is too old. He'll be 82 at time of reelection (but he won't be alive so that doesn't matter).

by Anonymousreply 67February 16, 2020 2:34 PM

Don't count your chickens, R67.

by Anonymousreply 68February 16, 2020 4:35 PM

Let’s all not forget that he’s had a heart attack as well and refuses to discuss the status of his health. Every part of this old shithead is a lie.

by Anonymousreply 69February 16, 2020 7:58 PM

If BErnie gets the nomination we have to absolutely focus on the Senate and the down ballot racers. We have to.

by Anonymousreply 70February 16, 2020 9:13 PM

Bernie supporters are insane. If Sanders isn't the Democratic nominee, they'll vote for Trump just to punish the Democratic Party.

by Anonymousreply 71February 17, 2020 12:27 AM

the ones who'd vote for Trump were never going to support the Democratic nominee. Interesting how these groups of demonstrators are now showing up at Biden events and Bernie events.

The former leader of ACORN has organized this group who delivered an empty coffin to a Biden fundraiser saying it was the death of his campaign. It was an ugly thing to do. At least Bernie's protestors different from the Biden protestors.) were "Anti Dairy" half naked women with body paint.

Trump Republicans are on social media deliberately, openly encouraging their people to vote in the Democratic primaries for Bernie.

by Anonymousreply 72February 17, 2020 3:59 AM

How do these people, these protestors, topless women and militants get to vote? There are police officers at my voting site at every primary and every election. Neither my neighbors nor I have been able to vote for the last couple of years because of that, but protestors demonstrate and interrupt events and they're allowed to vote?

by Anonymousreply 73February 17, 2020 4:00 PM

Why are you not able to vote because there are police officers at the voting site? Are they stopping you?

Not sarcasm, or mockery. I am genuinely curious. I live in Colorado and we vote by mail, so I haven't been to a voting site in years.

by Anonymousreply 74February 17, 2020 4:05 PM

R71, are they actually threatening to do that? Not that I'd put it past them. It's like saying, "If I can't have my warrior savior, then I'll vote for Hitler."

by Anonymousreply 75February 17, 2020 4:25 PM

I'd also like to from R73 --why haven't you been able to vote, exactly?

by Anonymousreply 76February 17, 2020 4:26 PM

He won a plurality not majority in Iowa and NH. Most Democrats don't want him. They may get him anyway.

by Anonymousreply 77February 17, 2020 4:27 PM

*I'd also like to hear from

by Anonymousreply 78February 17, 2020 4:27 PM

The protestors are showing up at rallies, town halls and fundraising events. Not at the voting sites. However there have been disruptions where voters who are Trump supporting Republicans are crossing over to vote in the Democratic primary. Their goal is to create confusion and chaos. Jamming phone lines and other forms of dirty tricks.

by Anonymousreply 79February 17, 2020 4:57 PM

Nevada is now having problems. Early voting people are waiting 4 hours to vote. They are speculating that they were going to use Iowa's app but after the debacle in Iowa they decided not to so they are scrambling and all the campaigns are being warned about "chaos." Now who out here does not see the Trumpanistas Parscale, et al, behind this ratfucking?

by Anonymousreply 80February 17, 2020 5:05 PM

R80, Reality is that election workers are elderly women who don't have the tech knowledge to properly use the apps or even a smart phone. Seriously I've worked in elections and most workers treat it like social hour at best.

On the NV election thread I started I quoted several election workers who didn't have the mental capacity to do their jobs at all. There were also only 4 people for a mile long line of voters. Caucus day's predicted to be a disaster.

Voting irregularities are the norm for Las Vegas.

by Anonymousreply 81February 17, 2020 6:03 PM

R74: It's some retarded troll who claims that police officers intimidate him from voting. He posted the same fake trolly bullshit yesterday. FF and ban it.

by Anonymousreply 82February 17, 2020 6:08 PM

Trolly?

by Anonymousreply 83February 17, 2020 6:13 PM

Trolley

by Anonymousreply 84February 17, 2020 6:14 PM

Clang, clang, clang went the trolley

by Anonymousreply 85February 17, 2020 6:42 PM

His devotees adore him and defend him crazily. But he does not have a path to the Presidency.

by Anonymousreply 86February 17, 2020 6:47 PM

r80, they've already said they've talked people into voting for Bernie in the Primary because Trump will beat him like a rented mule in November.

Fucking Bernie and his mouth breathing twat followers. They're perfectly happy with Trump, and a commie but nobody in between. And how are they not planted by a massive Russian disinformation campaign?

by Anonymousreply 87February 17, 2020 9:42 PM

oat least think common sense would prevail.Who in their right mind would vote for a 79 yr old man who just had a massive heart attack? Someone who could only serve one term at best?

It's obvious to me that this fucking election is rigged. Right fucking now. I do not trust polling. And even if I did, it's a fucking popularity contest. and as Chris Matthews and some polling experts pointed out, Bernie's support is actually less than it was 4 years ago

The reason he is doing well is because the field is crowded. He can win with just 25% of the vote. in the Primaries. If you aggregate the vote of the more moderate candidates it is over 50% compared to barely 40% for the Progressives.

by Anonymousreply 88February 19, 2020 2:10 AM

Voted today in China Town Las Vegas. Whole process took 15 minutes. Extremely efficient, relatively young poll workers.

DL would have loved the super buff stud who kindly assisted me. Wish I were able to take a picture. Was told that there were 1 hour lines on Sat as I expected. There's never enough parking when there are popular events in China Town.

Caucus Day Sat 2/22 prediction is rain. Expect a lower turnout if it's more than a light rain as Vegas' streets easily flood.

by Anonymousreply 89February 19, 2020 2:32 AM

The point of this article is that these corporate Democrats do not fear Bernie Sanders would lose in the general election.

The point of this article is that these Democrats fear that Bernie Sanders would win the general election.

by Anonymousreply 90February 19, 2020 5:05 AM

The thing is maybe he is electable. I've been hearing so many of these dam Trumpsters say they'd vote for Sanders since 2015. Whos to say a jew can't be president. A clown sure can.
