I mean between Rock, Sal Mineo, Earl Holoman and who else? There must be someone else?
Was Giant the gayest movie ever made?

James Dean, r1?

I think "Bareback Jizz Sluts 5" might be a little gayer, OP.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | February 15, 2020 5:13 PM |
The film is not gay at all.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | February 15, 2020 5:16 PM |
Oops. I meant "OP."
by Anonymous | reply 5 | February 15, 2020 5:19 PM |
There was never going to be any gay action in a 1950's cowboy movie set in Texas.

OP, don't forget that Mercedes McCambridge was so sapphic that her character, Luz, should have been named Lez. And Elizabeth Taylor was one of the greatest faghags of all time--she must have been in complete heaven. "Jimmy, yell me more about those mean men who put their cigarette butts out on your skin!"

R6, I don't know about that, but this scene in Red River was pretty homoerotic.

A lot of movies have several gay cast members. That doesn't make them a "gay" movie.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | February 15, 2020 5:48 PM |
No.
Boys In The Band was the gayest movie ever made
by Anonymous | reply 12 | February 15, 2020 5:48 PM |
Faye, Rene, Barbra, Let's All Chant, Fashion, more fashion, drama queen hysterics and the NYC piers. So much gayer.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | February 15, 2020 5:58 PM |
Ok, it wasn't gay, gay but did Rock have a lot to do with who was hired for the film? I had forgot to mention James Dean and Mercedes.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | February 15, 2020 8:40 PM |
Top Gun is the gayest movie ever made.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | February 15, 2020 9:21 PM |
I don't think of gay movies--much less "the gayest movie ever made"--as being dull. "Giant" is dull as dishwater.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | February 15, 2020 9:23 PM |
I never thought Giant was dull. I do not like most action films. I once read that the original Point Break was the gayest movie ever made.

Dennis Hopper - not gay but was experimental so it wouldn't surprise me if he experimented with boys in his youth.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | February 15, 2020 9:31 PM |
R12 - it's between that and Love Valour Compassion
by Anonymous | reply 19 | February 15, 2020 9:51 PM |
Not as gay as Rebel Without a Cause.

My money is on "Christmas Eve At The All Male Cinema."
by Anonymous | reply 21 | February 15, 2020 10:03 PM |
"Top Gun" and "Point Break" are the gayest movies ever made.

No. But I think it’s the best example of the Texas ethos. It is the best insight and summary of the Texas culture I’ve ever seen. The isolation, machismo, capitalist ambition, “stand your ground” defensiveness, weird relationship with the native Tejano culture and “big” personalities, land, possessions are all perfectly Texas.

According to some critics the gayest movie ever made is Way Out West with William Haines.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | February 23, 2020 5:19 AM |
I'm watching Giant atm. It takes about one hour to start, but I'm loving it!
