My Funny Valentine
That line... "You make me smile with my heart". It's so simple, yet so beautiful. All the lyrics to that song are lovely.
Happy V-Day DL! You're my Valentine ya bastards (and bastresses) and I love you. You've gotten me through some tough times and I love that there are many, many here that are kind, loving and compassionate. Not so crazy about the ugly side (racist/sexist et al) but I guess it helps highlight the good ones.
Most of all I thank you for being so freakin' funny. The joy you have brought me over the years is immense.

No one did bittersweet like Rodgers & Hart, OP. What's your favorite rendition? There are thousands of recordings.

Linda Ronstadt did a lovely version. So did Barbara Cook.

Give credit where credit is due ... to a GAY man! (Lorenz Hart, who wrote the lyrics.)

I actually kind of like the Matt Damon version R1. There are times that Sinatra just cannot be ignored and this is one of them. I love the Ronstadt version too.
He was a hot piece of tail, right R3? Thank you R4. I humbly bow my head. That's a new one to me R5 - very nice.
